Brother Heinrich
what will become of his 4 terminator body guard now? Probably continue to collect dust lol. I don't know, I may use them from time to time, but watching them get pulled to the ground by 20 cultists tends to sour my opinion on terminators quite quickly. Love the new wargear, Heinrich - Hashec has truly become the beast that his helmet alone portrays. Also - great, great work on the trim of the flamer - could you do a small tut on how you did that? Thanks man, I'll try to put up a tutorial one of these days when I get time for sure. Thanks for answering my question with an excellent explanation Heinrich. I hadn't really thought about the idea that most of the traitor Legions would have to resort to scavenging wargear to replace their damaged and worn out original equipment. 10 thousand years is a long time to wage war after all. I've never built a 40K traitor marine army but when I do I'll keep your NL in mind. I like your method of building your force around its commander, I may try that with my 30K WB actually. Thanks for providing so much insight into your way of thinking and a great deal of inspiration and ideas for my new projects. Any time man, happy to help :) Looking forward to seeing your take on the Ninth man, that's going to be sweet. Also looking forward to seeing Tor all painted up with his new toys. Thanks, hopefully I can get him knocked out this weekend. Excellent update to what was an already awesome model. How do you plan on bulking out that gauntlet? I ask because I'm wondering if you'll keep the Chaos iconography. I assume it's the gauntlet from the Aspiring Champion? I'll probably just bulk out the upper arm portion seeing as I used the same gauntlet without modification in his previous incarnation. Also yes it's from the aspiring champion model. Fantastic work on this! Now I'm gonna have to read through this rather massive log....ah well. In any case, keep it up! Thanks man, enjoy!
Brother Heinrich
Brief update. Got the metallics and the black done on the Landraider. Just have to do the parchment, skulls, freehand, OSL, weathering on the tracks and highlights... then she's done lol. http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q532/mv8830/Commissions/a025ac18-6fb6-4a4e-ae67-b681969c1614_zps4c5825c1.jpg Also I wasn't entirely happy with the super boxy look of the burning brand so I re-tooled it because Multi-melta's are cooler. If you guys couldn't tell by now I hate anything that looks bone stock in my Night Lords army, I've got to make everything a special little snowflake of death, that includes Hashec's Flamethrower (which will have a suitably awesome backstory don't worry). http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q532/mv8830/Night%20Lords%20II/10735983_10153295003948761_484486835_n_zps1b39b587.jpg Also here's the bulked out upper right arm that Bloodhound23 was asking about. http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q532/mv8830/Night%20Lords%20II/10735641_10153295003963761_733860897_n_zps60063ad9.jpg Let me know your thoughts, observations, or criticisms, they are always much appreciated! Brother-Chaplain Kage
Perhaps more tubing or power cables to go with that souped up flamer? Make it look like it draws power like a Sega Game Gear.
Slips
Maybe put some melting flesh around the Nozzles? Seems like a suitably chaos thing to do with a flamer/melta :P

I do miss the neat little edging around the barrel of the flamer, but other than that, I think I like the multi-melta better. And I always approve of axes. Good job so far! Brother Heinrich
Perhaps more tubing or power cables to go with that souped up flamer? Make it look like it draws power like a Sega Game Gear. Yeah but I don't want to unbalance the model too much, I may add some slim cables but I don't want it feeling insanely lop-sided. Maybe put some melting flesh around the Nozzles? Seems like a suitably chaos thing to do with a flamer/melta That'd be hard to convey I think, plus it'd be mostly black charred carbon residue if anything. I may fiddle around with some trim idk yet, I'll have to see what my hobby tutelary says... Brief update. Got the metallics and the black done on the Landraider. Look forward to seeing Hashec complete again Yeah it feels good to use him on the table top in his originally intended incarnation, I didn't take any pics but he MURDERED some wolves this past weekend and torched something like 12 cultists in one round of shooting in another game. Loads of fun this new setup. +++++++ Alright people, here's a brief update. Got the idea that it'd be fun to give Gevaudas the option to take a twin-linked Lascannon in addition to his other armament, so I cobbled this together this morning from a friend's old Librarian dreadnought (probably write that bit of salvage action into Gevaudas' short story). Soric
Very imposing looking Contemptor you got there, can't wait to read the backstory you got for him Is the "pinky claw" a reference to a certain Mystery Men villain?
Augustus b'Raass
The pinky claw is prolly just due to failing superglue. I like this idea. Might I steal from you AGAIN?
Brother Heinrich
Haha thanks guys, and yeah the pinky claw was the only one that stayed on after I dropped the arm. searching for the other talons at the moment. The_Chaplain
Contemptor looks fabulous Heinrich! Also, the dethklok song reference in the title update made me guffaw quite heartily-- well played! Brother Heinrich 1 Back to top

hushrong
Flourish the pinky! That is a fantastic night lord. I love the head you had used as I think it is the best one FW made. That is the Iron Warrior one, right?
Trysanna
Loving the Dread. That Sons of Horus Contemptor is just rad, can't wait to see him painted. I'm also quite fond of the Lascannon conversion, has a good sense of weight to it. -Tarvick
The_Chaplain
Looking at the contemptor again (and not on my cellphone), I just noticed the contemptor's head swap. Did you have to bore that out at all to accommodate the forgeworld dreadnought head or are they interchangeable right out of the gate?

Did you have to bore that out at all to accommodate the forgeworld dreadnought head or are they interchangeable right out of the gate? I had to shave down the bottom of the Iron Warrior head, the original is to tall and long to fit in the contemptor head slot, so you have to chop down the back of it and shave down the bottom (I used an emery board to make sure it filed down evenly across the bottom). Brother Heinrich
Love the pose. Thanks man, took forever because I was crazy perfectionist about it. That dread means business Yes. Yes he does my friend. +++++++ Evening everyone, just a quick update on the Word Bearers Landraider. Got the parchment and skulls all painted and managed to ink the word of good old Lorgar all over them. I actually really enjoy doing miniature script on models, so this army has been a treat because of it. Just imagine if my client didn't want them done like the old Index Astartes Word Bearer scheme.... WRITING EVERYWHERE. Anyways, comments and criticism appreciated and encouraged as always. http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q532/mv8830/Commissions/d074ea00-500a-4152-ae89-517bbdfbe44a_zpsb2f51fc3.jpg http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q532/mv8830/Commissions/b17b3e37-f661-42a1-bc5f-5b9fa16a483b_zpsfdd2df9e.jpg http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q532/mv8830/Commissions/a4ecc07b-c114-4813-8af9-7ec0bf0b947f_zps297d8b20.jpg AVE DOMINUS NOX Pearson73, Slips, Forté and 3 others 6 Back to top

Brother Heinrich
Evening folks, Another little update, I just re-did the left tricep on the trophy corpse for Gevaudas, my original sculpt really bugged me because his tricep was down on his forearm... I also green-stuffed my first hand, let me know what you guys think: http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q532/mv8830/Night%20Lords%20II/10799786_10153308649703761_979966314_n_zpsaef15bec.jpg http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q532/mv8830/Night%20Lords%20II/10744829_10153308649713761_476181226_n_zpsb67ca470.jpg AVE DOMINUS NOX kapturowski and Noctem Cultor 2 Back to top

SalvationOfReason
That. Right there. Is a sexy looking Dreadnaught. Nice work on the sculpting so far, and gratz, the hand looks great! My 2 cents would be that the little finger is a bit short/thin, you can barely see that its there. Not sure if its the photo or not.
Jehan-Reznor
Great job on the sculpting (if i have to be nitpicky the biceps are usually bigger than the triceps and the tricips consists of 3 bundles)
