I'm still in two minds about it

I've also been thinking about the arachnofiend, mainly the size and if I should model it more like a defiler, turning the two cannon into one longer battle cannon

As such

Though I do think I like the first way better

So I've been working on the fine tuning of the arachnofiend today, something to fill in all the spots that should have limbs or whatnot coming out of them, I came up with this..

Try to imagine the blutack balls as a sack of plasma, painted in the signiature blue of the weapons and such sort od like a biovores spore sack? What are your thoughts?

Dude, they look great. I'm digging on the Arachno(insert daemon engine here once decided.) What I would suggest, knowing i would never have the skill to pull it off, if you are gonna go with the Defiler version give it more of a biomech scorpion tail attaching to the back of the cannon and maybe the fusion cutters supporting it a bit further up, but if you are going with the fiend version you hit it spot on

Ohhh, that's clever! Looks like it was meant to be that way!

You know, your Arachno fiend almost makes me want to pick up another fiend kit, purely for experimentation. And I didn't even see the kit as such a big possible source for kitbashing to begin with, so even more kudos to you! :)

  • 1 month later...

I decided to work on a few small things for something different,

Here's the very early stages of an obliderator

And starting to convert the chosen (the front two)

Sorry, realised the pics were pretty bad and it was late haha so here's close ups of the two convertees

Needs some footwork still, a simple modification that makes a massive difference I think

Unsure on the sword here I think it needs more of a hilt definition before the blade

Just went through your thread, have to say these models are awesome. The brutes, the arachnofiend(with dual cannons) and the knight titan end result is just sweet!. At a time where I am considering doing a chaos army with big demon engines like your this thread is certainly spelling doom for my bank account.

Currently making up a khorne defiler, if it turns into an army don't be surprised if a few of your ideas somehow end up in my lot. msn-wink.gif

Looking forward to more.

In fact looking at the titan again... IMMENCE!

Cool, I have a good idea now for the defiler. Though, new ideas are popping into my head frequently, hence the pot-o-bits. I think we'll share a lot of the same style on this, but will try to be different ..in some way.

Good to see you back at it buddy, for your latest guy and his sword have you thought of shortening the grip? How about moving the sword hilt down to his hand? I think it would look a lot more natural than the way he's wielding it just now. The Executioner head is a nice touch btw. ;)
