Yeah, I killed off my own SWolf commander. devil.gif

Even the Paste from Word option doesn't even work correctly. I'll try the Paste as Plain Text next time around.

If you're using chrome, paste special does the trick for me.

I shall have to try that, as I use Chrome.

What I typically(read as "haven't done in a long time) is turn off the BBC Mode(I seem to be that guy who always has trouble with it on) and then just write in the code and the extra spaces for paragraphs and then just plain jane copy and paste. For the most, there has been no trouble except for the few times BnC has decided to throw in the random <brk> crap that it sometimes does.

But hey, if you can get Vazzy's method working, I'd say go for it.

"Horus? Horus is weak. He will never usurp the False Emperor's throne. Not in this millennia, not ever. I don't know who will, but I'd be willing to lay down my life and say that he won't. Our great Warmaster may have the strength of arms to overcome any force on Terra, but he himself lacks the competence to do so. Yes, I just called him incompetent. This is my own personal opinion, all who dislike it are invited to the dueling pit. My axe needs some wetting."

"I watched as my Father was cast aside by that worthless scum, the False Emperor. I was there, as were all my brothers. We were thrown away, like trash, like meaningless gutter waste. I hate that man, with every fiber of my being. I willingly joined the VIII Legion, as they are like me, bitter and broken. I might not have the Night Haunter's gene-seed, but I am VIII Legion to the core."
Lukas Ghent, "The Last Survivor", *LEGION REDACTED*

Edit: As it turns out, Paste as Plain Text solves the formatting problem.

Ooooooh... that's the first time I've seen one of those new power weapon sets in action. seriously... dem axes drool.gif

I'm surprised we haven't seen more pre-heresy turncoats. It's a pretty popular theme in 40k Nightlords fluff, so glad to see it make a graceful transfer.

I got the idea after rereading Prince of Crows, with the Raven Guard dude who tagged on after the Drop Site Massacre.

I've got plans for a handful of others, but I won't go overboard. Just enough to make it feel like the 100th is a Band of Ragged Bastards.

The darkness was perpetual. Not the kind of darkness that was the result of the banks of ceiling lights shut off, this was a sort of unnatural darkness. A darkness bred upon a world with no sun, and transferred onto the ship itself.
Sitting in the gloom within his small private chamber was a man. Or a not-man. A trans-human warrior, nearing two-hundred years old. He was hand painting a suit of powered battle armour, his very own. It was a solemn moment. Never again would be bear the colours of his old Legion. The paint he was using was the deepest colour of midnight. He would soon be, what his new brothers referred to as, in midnight clad.
His eyes drifted from his chestplate, his original crusade-pattern armour, with the symbol of the Imperium scratched away, to the new plates that he had had to scour since his flight from Terra. The cuisses were ribbed with housings for the power cables, and the greaves were studded with the new reinforcing bonding studs. The helm also bore the bonding studs as well, as did the right pauldron.
At least he had managed to keep his weapons. He would have been very upset if he had to replace the bolter. It was a standard issue phobos-pattern rifle, but it had served him well the past hundred and more years. The pistol and blade would have been less of a concern, but he had held on to them as well.
Putting the last final touches on his armour, he set the pieces down, finally relaxing after months of being on constant alert. He sat back, head leaning against the wall, and sighed.
    A knock at the door.
   "Come in," he said.
The visitor, a warrior of the VIII Legion, opened the door, and stepped in. He was in full armour, skull-faced helm in place.
"Suit up, Newblood. We're going to test your skills," the warrior said.
"Very well," the Newblood replied. "May I have the honour of knowing who I speak to?"
The VIII Legion warrior stared at the Newblood through the crimson eye lenses for a moment.
"Shebol Bladeborn," he responded. "And I will be your overseer for the induction process, Newblood."

Sitting here, waiting for the Xbox One to cooperate...I started painting Captain Vanya. And primed all the models I have assembled thus far. And I'm still waiting on the damned xbox...

A matter of personal taste for me, but I refuse to have an unhelmeted Astartes in my company (I like to imagine they weed themselves out pretty quickly ^_^ ). That being said, Vanya looks pretty darn good so far. You'll have to let me know how a white primered Nightlord works out!

Alright, Xbox is almost ready.

Got Lukas Ghent done though! All he needs is some touch-ups I see now thanks to my "awesome" camera, and base work.

Really happy with the Legion number on the shoulder pad. Former brothers will never be forgotten!

Edit....Ooooh...Needs lots of touch-ups. DOH!

Hah, touch ups will be the death of us both! I've never tried any of the army painter color primers before. How are they working for you?

First guy is looking pretty good. Gosh knows I have a bit of a topknot addiction, so that may be biasing my opinion, however. One thing I would suggest besides minor touch ups and whatnot is to pull a little more definition out of the eyes. Try this:

1.) When you touch up, clean up the size of the eye lens with black paint around the perimeter.

2.) Color the first half (closest to the nose piece) a slightly lighter red.

3.) *tiny* dot of white in the farthest corner of the lens...actually I have a pic, if you don't mind.

This works for both gems and lens, depending on the amount of "finish" you want to put in. But I've found, since the eyes are such a bright focal point for an otherwise midnight blue model, a little extra polish always helps a sunless son out.

Hope that helped! ^_^

I would love to try that, however, I'm lucky enough that I was able to get my smallest brush into the eye itself. My brush control is nowhere near being able to do that, I've tried. Oh well, maybe some day in the future.

I did finish the touch-ups last night, and for my painting ability, I'm quite happy. Doesn't help that the model's background is among my favorites.

Finishing Vanya today, at some point.

Oh, and I love the Army Painter sprays. I use the Demonic Yellow for my Fists, the Desert Yellow for my Guard, and the Crystal Blue for my Tau. And, as I said the Plate Mail for everything else. They can save a metric crapton of time, as for example, my Fists. Spray with Demonic Yellow, wash Seraphim Sepia, Layer Flash Gitz Yellow, highlight Dorn Yellow. Done. Maybe not the greatest, but best of my ability.

So, I'd started to paint this guy:

When this happened:

No more Drakenhof Nightshade...wallbash.gif

Looks like I'll have to make a pitstop at my LGS on my way home from work tomorrow.

Seriously! Drakenhoff is like Devlan miracle to us in Midnightclad. How are you on Carroburg crimson? It does wonders for me in painting those big swathes of red cloth.

As a bit of a teaser as I do some washing and assembling.

And yes, this character has his name stolen from one of the best boss fights in the game Dark Souls.
