Pictures in a slightly different area, as I don't really feel like clearing my painting station off...

Brother Artorias, "The Abysswalker", Dreadnought of the 100th Company:

Still a WIP, needs those dang things cleaned off of the horns, and greenstuff to the base of the horns themselves. And arms. Which are coming, I plan on magnetizing them, at least a few different weapons.

You went with Artorias instead of Gaping Dragon? Or maybe Crossbreed Priscilla? ...mkay... I'll give you the benefit of the doubt :P

I'm partial to Queelag the Witch myself ^_^

Can't wait to see him!

Damn, I wish I could like a post more than once. Flint, you just keep getting more awesome!

Artorias always had a special place for me, as I love greatswords. But the DLC really made him even awesomer.

Thank you, Athrawes, I've been lurking in your II Legion thread, and while I haven't posted in it yet, I have to say that I truly enjoy reading your take on the II. I will be watching that carefully.

Demon's Souls was easily my favorite PS3 exclusive.

Now here's the make or break moment for any Dark Souls fan... Xbox or PS3? msn-wink.gif

I started working on my secondary captain, the Master of Terror. It's a very recognizable classic model, I don't plan on giving it much conversion at all, I think it's perfect the way it is.

As a side note, I think I might have a game with them this "weekend". Of course, I use weekend lightly, as my weekend is Monday and Tuesday.

Hmm...well, I didn't like the way the Master of Terrors was coming out, so I scrapped that model. Although I'm eyeing a particular model on Forge World that I'm gonna have to pick up, as an instead.

Probably gonna make another order tomorrow. My bank account is crying. eek.gif

I'm really indecisive about a list. I like the idea of Terror Squads, but I really don't like the fact that they rack up in points fast, and the fact that if you want the Rite of War, you HAVE to take three of them.

On the other hand, Raptors are awesome, while expensive as well. But, unlike Terrors, Raptors can probably hold their own, due to higher max numbers, higher WS, jump packs, and Onslaught. Plus, since they're bulky, they count as two models for the Talent for Murder.

I think I might run the 100th as a slightly different style of army, to better represent their "uniqueness" that I want them to have.

I've had pretty good results with smaller terror squads in dreadclaws when I'm playing around with the Terror rite of war. They're actually pretty fun. Since volkites are pretty short ranged anyway, they do plenty of damage combined with preferred enemy. Just not enough to overkill drastically.

Heavy weapons seem to be the subject of the day:

Support Sergeant Kal Asrazi, "The Flamesmith":

"I love the smell of promethium in the night. You know, one time we had a bunker burning, for five hours. When it was all over, I walked up to it. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole block. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end..."

And, in continuation of the heavy weapon theme today, I give you another:

"You hear that? That is the sound of two-thousand terrible things heading your way. My rotor cannon spits out two-thousand rounds per minute, each more likely to claim your life than the last. You can try to run, but you'll only die tired."

            -Support Sergeant Eyjis Zsurik, "Foe-render"

Needs a bit of work where the ammo feed and pack thingy would NOT meet up whatsoever.

Sweet! I love your mix 'n matching with the armor marks. The most I've changed is a single helmet or torso. I think you might have inspired me to be a little more adventurous.

Good to know some of the "lighter" armor marks look good with heavy weapons as well. Not all heavy weapon teams should be MKII and MKIII.

And one last one:

"Sunlight harnessed as a weapon, one born of Nostramo can not think of a better weapon."
-Support Sergeant Fel Arkza

As for the mix-and-match armor, I wanted a real "ragtag" look to the 100th. A sort of run-down villianry, but still kicking butt.

I'm honored that I've proven to be an inspiration, as it was you amongst others that inspired me to do this project. I guess I've repaid that debt.

Next up...Tac marines? I dunno.

I like your heavies. I especially like the guy bringing 2000 Emperor's guiding lights a minute to the masses. Btw 2000 sounds a bit low, doesn't it? I've always thought 6000 is the assumed rpm of miniguns. Oh- another thing- where are the ammo hoppers hanging from his belt taken from?

I chose 2,000 because the wiki article on miniguns says they have a variable ROF setting, between 2,000 - 6,000 RPM.

The ammo hoppers are the hoppers from the rotor cannon set. Normally they'd be on the backpack itself, but I've never heard of anyone who's actually managed to get those pack mounted things on right, and the feed to line up with the gun itself.

Soo many tasty heavy weapon options - you're very brave to mix up the armour like you have, kudos to you - I can't stand the thought of doing it personally, but you're making it work great !

I'm enjoying reading your quotes too, keep em coming :)

Yes, I do plan on at least making an attempt at mold lines. Although, my left thumb is going to be a fan of it, as I sliced it open the other day scraping mold lines. down.gif

Tomorrow is paint day, I'm going to finish several guys I've started. And maybe assemble some more heavy weapons dudes.

EDIT: Also, I'm considering changing the name of the thread. Not really sure what to change it to, though.
