Need to go over the blue again, and figure out a color for the eyes. Finish off the white, with a slight wash in the recesses.

Shoulder pads and brass etch will likely get ordered Friday night. I'd do it earlier, but after what happened last time, I want to see if anything awesome gets released on Friday.

Oh, and he needs blood. Lots of blood.

Boston would be sweet! Not too far away for me. Come over to the Bright Side, Jasp!

One day I'll be over on the east coast for a big visit, brother in law leaves in 2 weeks for 3 months and I'm shattered that I haven't got any holidays.

Best thing is that Aussie is pretty much Massachusetts

Loving this thread man, fantastic work...

The weapons, the poses, your modelling is fantastic. Oh and did I mention, your fluff writing is SICK!

really enjoying the night lords. Man, keep it going, don't start getting miniature ADHD... It's painful when you do (as a self confessed I want everything man!)

Seen a personal theme running through a lot of your log man, and let me share some sagely wisdom in all of my well, not so old years.

Forget the resin. Forget the plastic. Forget the ladies (no 'skanks', or other denigrating stuff, a gentleman gets the real prize in the end)

Forget anything you pay for or indulge in, the golden rule is no investment or effort. The one thing to concentrate on is being happy without anything. Once you know true happiness in yourself, you'll see just how magnetic it is...

Anyway, philosophical Dr Phil moment over.

You rock dude! Get some lightning on those night lords... You know it makes sense!

Wow, talk about motivation!

Thanks, but I don't know if you can call my modelling and writing fantastic. I just gather up random bits, and glue them together. The real praise needs to go to the people who inspired me in the first place.

But I'll take that praise just the same. smile.png

You know what would hopefully provide some binary styled inspiration for you?

The sicaran is....interesting. It's an amazing model, but typical casting issues has some parts bent. I LOVE the fact that the tracks are molded on already. I should be finishing it up soon, I have almost everything washed.

Now, to figure out what I'm going to do with these three wraiths...

Well, well well. Dredging this thread up from the Netherrealm to say...ALPHA censored.gif LEGION.

100th Company is going to be palling around with some doods from the XX, that's for sure.

For anyone who has yet to see the Alpha rules, I recommend finding them. They're great.

Now, to find a source of DElf corsair cloaks...

EDIT: Sampler:

Who is this guy I wonder....

First off, I want to thank Noctus for his wonderful version of Velstadt. I will not lie, but his model was a great inspiration for mine. You can see his here: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/274401-from-the-abyss-a-word-bearers-log-protect-20-329/page-23?do=findComment&comment=3635979

(Free promotion, Noctus! Keep up the great work!)

Anyway, here's Acolyte Velstadt, Diabolist of the XVII Legion: (Oh no...those pauldron eyes...)

The Commander glanced to the warrior on his left, and nodded. The warrior was actually a diabolist, one of the daemonicly attuned warrior-priests in the Legion. This particular daemonancer never spoke, he communed only with the beasts of the Warp.
At the nod, the priest lifted his staff, and began the ritual.
