Here is the completed Herald of Slaanesh...

firstly on a ETL-purpose base:

...which is naught but temporary, because I had started painting her actual base long ago. And it took bloody ages to paint...

Not my finest work but I'm somewhat glad to have it done and out of the way.

And here's a WIP of the biker lord:

Blue with orange trim on one side, pink with green trim on the other side. Reversed bike vs. rider.

The white tentacle-ish-fire half done up the middle of the bike will be redone (green on the pink side, orange on the right, blended as best I can [which won't be very :D] to white in the middle).

Thank you! That's six arms, two torsos and a -literally- killer pair of legs for you.

I'm rather fond of how her hair came out too. It was just Nihilak Oxide over white, then drybrushed white. I like it so much I want to use it more...but I specifically did it a different colour from my Daemonettes so she would stand out. Perhaps I'll do the biker lord's helmet comb that colour...

Thanks. I love the harlequin models (the rest of the squad are being modelled as if fighting my acrobatic Daemonettes, and will be posed thus on the Armies on Parade board) but not the pose of the avatar. He seems to be jumping forward, body squared, asking to be shot or -as in this case- kicked out of the air and stamped on.

If when I get another box I'll use the avatar body/coat for another Herald conversion. I want one wearing that nice coat. :D

 

As for a Keeper of Secrets, I want to do one inspired by a story in the first Eldar codex (in the 1st Edition compendium...or was it the compilation? I'll check) in which a KoS was eating banshee's spirit stones. I want to do one standing atop a broken-open wave serpent, broken banshees strewn about, another in its claws. If GW don't bring out a new KoS soon then I'll convert a Gygor.

I mean the...whatever they call the squad leader now...troupe leader? It used to be 'avatar' back when I got the box of white metal Harlequins. I don't like his legs, hence I used him as the herald's doormat.

Been following this thread for a couple months. REALLY cool stuff. You're colors are suitably gaudy without being off-putting (on the marines). The spawn may have been a bit too much for me, but that would be the case for any emperor-fearing man! Still, cool stuff. You're ICs are especially impressive (thanks to you're conversion skills).

 

Not that I'm going to buy into chaos or anything, don't think I would be able to field my sisters if I did.

With my previous bikers I did the screens thus:

Third one:...playing Pong.

...but what should I do on the lord's screen?

If you felt like cheating, you COULD always take a Doom screenshot, print it out and stick it onto the screen of the bike (which would work extra well if you printed it on decal paper).

I eventually settled on Space Invaders...

But what's the deal with that chain disappearing off one side of many of the above photos?

I'll be chaosifying the front plate and the two crew a bit more before undercoating everything (yes, the beamer will be repainted).

The biker lord looks great. I love the banner, and the colours look great. I'm really digging the choice of torso as well- I need to get myself the Noise Marine upgrade pack, considering their age those parts look gorgeous.

 

His Typhus proxy getup looks awesome as well! I do love that codpiece- it's outrageous in just the right way.

 

I'd love to see you do some more Daemon models, especially some Slaaneshi equivalents of other god's servants. Perhaps something a bit like a Cacodemon from Doom for a Screamer proxy? (Yes I have been playing far too much Doom recently, why do you ask?) Or maybe "Noise Daemonettes" for Horror/Flamer proxies, their very bodies growing into hideous biomechanical musical instruments?

Fantastic work! The flag is a great idea, I think I've got the same bit and was wondering how I could use it... particularly like the souvenir ;) Of course the colours are great as always but with his extra ones and the free hand he really pops. Perhaps too much, he may end up drawing all the fire in games? :lol:

He is indeed colourful! Probably the most colourful in the army. After the ETL I'll do a new army shot so we can see who stands out. :D

Oh, I did, whilst idly perusing AoS minis on the GW website, notice a unit I'd never seen before and thought they'd make some interesting cultists... I'll post an image after I get some...

That chaos lord is wonderful! I know I've said this about Orks before, but if I ever do fall to heresy and damnation, it will be for the noise marines. Especially the really old ones that actually have guitars.
