hushrong
I am leaning on B and G. And I dislike that SW head but that hairdo is destined for this pose! brettfp
I'd go with A without the helemt. Not sure why. Its not the most dynamic but I think its the most 'standard' heroic pose. Kimda reminds of street fighter or something :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/287065-psychopomps-photos-before-farewell/page/44/#findComment-4901643 Share on other sites
Kierdale
Or :D I use him to punch planes out of the sky but give him a more reasonable pose (which would match the rest of the squad too, posed shooting ground targets)... AA) I rather like this one. BB) not so much And then I came up with this: CC) which I rather like Ignore the angle the base gives as I’ll hack that off and angle him leaping forward. And would magnetise the right shoulder so, for fun, I can give him two power fists for this pose: MAXIMUM FISTING! Kierdale
Thanks. I think I’m settled on CC with a magnetised right arm. Use him for punching planes, but pose him more sensibly than a Dragon Punch. It was fun to play about with the poses though :D CC will be a nice reflection of my peacock lord/sorcerer’s pose, too. Slaaneshi Raptor Lord by Nehebkau, on Flickr Last night I had started painting Doom Rider’s base green like balefire but it really really looked terrible, like he was flying on two sticks of frozen broccoli :D so I’ve repainted it all white -without taking any photos as I didn’t want there to be any evidence of that atrocity- and this morning I gave it a Lamenters yellow glaze and tonight I’ll get on with painting it like a real fire. Res Ipsa Loquitur
If "maximum fisting" is your aim, you need Dreadnought Power Fists. Panzer
Haha well...I guess then the uppercut pose is open for me to take eventually. :P Â Also yeah modeling fire is rather hard. Maybe watch some tutorials first. Kierdale
Haha well...I guess then the uppercut pose is open for me to take eventually. I look forward to seeing it. :tu: More fitting for a character, I think, than a squad leader. Kierdale
HE IS THE... ...DOOMRIDER He’s finished at last. He wants his head back and he’s taking those of any White Scars he can find until he gets his own. He was rather attached to it. Credit goes to Teetengee for inspiring this model with his entry in Inspirational Friday 2016: Retro Chaos And thanks to many members of the CSM forum for feedback and ideas, not all of which made it into the final model (sorry for any disappointments). The sword I’m not sure how well it shows up in these photos (it shows up well enough in Real Life) but the ground is cracking where the flames hit it (Agrellan Earth). Not a bad collection. He’ll keep on collecting until he gets his own back. As this version of the bike was inspired by Pain Killer by Judas Priest (thanks to SanguiniusReborn for the suggestion), I thought it fitting to try to replicate their symbol on his screen. Azekai
I really love the details! The daemonette backpack vents, the White Scar trophies, the readout on the screen, ect. I do feel saddened by the lack of fiery-daemon head, though- especially after seeing how you well the fire exhaust effect turned out. As a friend pointed out, with the neck open like it is, it wouldn’t be hard to make a head that simply plugs in ;) Then again the original’s hair wasn’t on fire...but I could always make one flaming one and one not :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/287065-psychopomps-photos-before-farewell/page/44/#findComment-4905470 Share on other sites
The Traitor
Wow, that's a real chaotic masterpiece, captures pretty well what I think an Slaanesh army should be about! The painkiller approach is awesome, and I agree you should make a head for him, specially since you could easily magnetise or pin it. WarriorFish
He really came together, the plumes of flamey exhaust are the icing on the cake to complete him I also think a head would be a nice optional addition, especially if it's on fire (and super bonus points if it's Nicholas Cage ). hushrong
I like the headless rider and the White Scars trophies. Â A flaming head option would be cool to see if you get the time for one. Carrack
Amazing conversion and painting. If you do end up making a magnetized flaming head option, I suggest making some kind of objective marker for it to rest on when you don't use it. That way you can capitalize on the Headless Horseman vibes of Doom Rider hunting down his missing head. Azekai
 The original Doomrider didn't have a fireball for a head, it is true; but on the other hand, this model has all sorts of additional details that have been added/improved upon from the original. I think a crazy horned ghostrider head would look great with the rest of the ensemble.   That's not the way to get ahead in life...   Res Ipsa Loquitur 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/287065-psychopomps-photos-before-farewell/page/44/#findComment-4905745 Share on other sites
Panzer
Extremely awesome! Definitely make a head option for him as well and once GW gives him his head back just play him with his head re-attached! Â I hope the flames don't break. Maybe you'll have to add a flying pin under the big to prevent that eventually. Kierdale
I’ve got lots of projects to do first but...okay, okay...I will do at least one head, perhaps two: one burning and one more like the original. Eventually.  I don’t have enough time to finish any other models to add to the Armies on Parade display so for the rest of this month I’m going to focus on putting something together for Age of Sigmar for AoP (more of a small diorama like my Catachan beach party or Mordians during by ranks, rather than a proper army display. I’ll put photos on Instagram [Kierdale]).
