Don't forget to compare them! :biggrin.:

Hehe. But Morty, two of you would be quite paradox, wouldn't it?

YEP YEP YUP! Cannot wait to see the glory of a Primarch painted by your hands!

The dread looks so... grumpy.

Looking forward to seeing your work on the primarch!

Thanks guys :) - and yeah, he's grumpy indeed (you would be too with these annoying but cute Nurglings around you!)

Nice can't wait to see some paint on his parts.

Mhm, not directly his parts, but one of his cute Nurglings (called Russli):

It's like that alien from Return of the Jedi.

Very well painted none the less!

Haha :laugh.:

The dread looks awesome! I somehow missed him. And Mortys Nurglings look cool, too.

Thanks buddy!

Little WIP of Morty ... I always hate it to snap pictures of basecoats because it always looks :cussty, but atleast it's awesome to see how much better it looks once it's finished :tongue.::

Grrrr, I hate basecoats!!

Hurry! I want to see him in your awesome colours! A primes mini is ok, a primed mini with some extra base colours is nigh unbearable. I can't stand patches of colour without some depth through wash or layers. Especially metal.

looking good over all. I like the purple against the white and green.

Thaaaanks buddy :blush.:

Hello, hello! He is coming along beautifully. Or nasty or whatever form of praise is the Nurgle equivalent.

Hehe. Nastily sexy?

Yeah those are good contrasting colors!

Thanks! It should come even more together once the green shoulders and the head aswell as the wings are added :)

Looking great so far Atia! looks forward to seeing how he comes on :smile.:

:teehee: glad you like him so far!

Little update - including a really disgusting blightdrone-nurgling-baby-thing:

Hehe. Nastily sexy?

And that's how you end up in a Legion HR meeting with Brother-Toby.

The Nurgle-Drone-Cherub-Cabbage Patch kid is looking good. For a creepy, one eyed bug. Mortarion is also coming along splendidly. His colors are looking great!

And those misty looking bits that hold him up from his base, are those part of his cloak? I had been assuming they were just aetherial poison gas trailing from him but now I see some stitch work in there.

According to the designer his cloak actually turns into "daemonic mists", if that makes sense :)

If they say "its because of the Warp" then there is no further need for explanation. Learning that now that is cool because they aren't total from the mortal realm anymore, especially since they are daemon primarchs.

Indeed. And to be honest - unlike Magnus or the stock Daemonprince, Mortarion looks like a big winged Plague Marine, so it's good they added something "warpy daemonical" too

Technically a cherub is a hybrid of a man with either a lion or a bull sometimes with wings (the etymologically related term kirubu is another name for Lamassu like the Chaos Dwarf unit) and the winged babies are Putti/Cupids/amorini.

Really those things are just Imps (as are all Nurglings in general) and 40k already follows common language in misnaming things as cherubs but Plague Putti alliterates and has a nitpicky excuse.

I actually didn't know that :ohmy.:

Keep up the good work.

Thanks buddy. Sadly I got sick half through the week (guess that's what you get when you make a pact with Nurgle!), but here's the last thing I worked on. It's not finished yet, want to add a little extra effect (hopefully it will work), but yeah, guess I'm back on the painting ship tomorrow :smile.:

The more you know... *Cue rainbow effect*

Atia, good to hear Nurgle has taken notice of you spreading his works! Do hope you are feeling better.

Good to see mortarion coming along too! Out of curiousity will you be adding more to the base? It looks great but there is some prime real estate to be used that can bask in Lord Mortarions shadow.
