MINE!! glad for the 2nd Head option, though...

from the construction guide: he is a dark mechanicum archmagos with a lot of occularis (cyber familiar) on an abeyant with machinator array and paragon blade...

that's basically how I field my HQ all the time.

Also, I heard we will be seeing downloadable rules for him even before book IV.

He hasn't as far as I know. I don't think all the character series will, I am guessing he will be a major part of the next FW book.

I want one, glad there is a head option, but having just ordered the Gorgon Terminators I am going to have to wait on this.

Whilst I'm sad it's not Sigismund or Sevatar, it certainly represents an interesting shift in their release paradigm. The accompanying video doesn't have the sculptor(s) providing a commentary to the sculpting process and/or background of the miniature either.

Hm, I wondered what kind of robot these old dreads inspired...I use mine as castellax, but they don't really fit any of the known Cybernetica (or Astartes Dreadnought) patterns:

These are supposed to be lucifer pattern dreadnoughts^^

no, they were called:

Mk VII Malevolent Class (as seen)

Mk VIII Marauder Class (longer legs)

Mk IX Dominator Class (short legs, 4 weapon mounts)

Mk X Abomination Class (longer legs, 4 weapon mounts)

lucifer pattern may look more like this

Although, 'Luficer' would be a useful name to tie all those similarly themed variants into a single pattern.

After all, I have been considering changing that design to 'Furibundis' which is the name of the model it's based on, and is listed alongside the Lucifer, Castraferrum (MK IV/V) & Contemptor patterns in the FW HH books. Plus it would let me do a 'Deredo' version which could be more CC-oriented and be closer in appearance to the original:

Seriosluy - why hasn't that been posted before?!?!?!?!

Love that, exactly what I was expecting the IF Contemptor to look like. There's only one thing stopping me from starting a very large 30k IF force, and that's some MkIII IF Shoulder Pads. When those eventually come out I'm expecting to lay out some serious cash on lots of new resin.

The reason I haven't posted it previously is because it only just escaped into the depths of the internet. It's originally from some FB post, whilst it was completely missed by the blogs covering the event - likely because at first glance, it's pretty similar to the Relic Contemptor.

I'm willing to bet the Legionless Astartes is a Knights Errant. At this point in the storyline, Malcador would have already begun assembling the Errant with Garro at the helm. I'm really excited to see what FW has in store for Dark Mechanicum. I can't imagine they'll have Thallax as Troops, unless it's a Traitor element of Ordo Reductor. Should be interesting to see how they represent the force, as at this point I don't think they'd have much, if any, Chaos influence.
