Conquest has shipped!

Marshal Rohr

Recommended Posts

Got my copy tonight.

Still trying to digest everything. There's a bloody metric ton of fluff and ideas running through these pages.

Def's liking what I've read so far. Especially the tidbit about the accelerated recruitment processes.

And the last frontier relieves their copy before the bottom of the world....

*walks over to the corner*

But I gave you everything forgeworld I gave you everything why why! WHY!

Speaking of Marks of Armor, would it be farfetched to see a Legion army pulling out MK 2? Before and after the Heresy.

My Thousand Sons are about 45% Mk2, 45% Mk3, and 10% other.  The one thing we know about Mk2 armour is tha EVERY legion had it.  It's what they first used when leaving Terra.

Thank you, that gives me an excuse for whichever legion I pick

Read a few pages, that book is AWESOME!

- loyalist Night Lords

- loyalist Dusk Raiders (!) vs Iron Warriors

- traitor Space Wolves great Company (!) who bear the Serpent Eye symbol

(maybe they became the Dark Wolves as seen in Imperial Armour 13: ?)

http://img5.fotos-hochladen.net/uploads/darkwolvesfeljpwqi85e1o.png

- there is a traitor hybrid Iron Hands/Sons of Horus company

- Rogue Traders often leads Solar Auxilia armys

- Solar Auxilia are specialists in void and hazard operations

First, no. Atia is not American, and if I remember correctly, english is not her first language. Please remember that we're a global community.

Second, I double-dog dare you to call me a turd again.

Loving all the different factions - that IH / SoH company could be there pretty much just to justify the number of 40k traitor Iron Hands Chaos Marine armies out there. The cross-referencing is just one thing I love about FW.

The fluff in this book, alongside all the awesome images, has set my picture-editing muscles a-twitchin' devil.gif

I'm currently mulling over the discount deal they have of the three main books and the streamlined lists, and was wondering how long it'd be before they added Conquest to the deal. I'd prefer to get all four in one go than the three and then the fourth separate, but I'm all about the fifth book (but that's a story for another topic for another time)

Ouch.

That said, the "generic" gun is pretty nasty too. 12" range assault 1, s:5 ap:2. But if it kills a model they explode (large blast) with the same s and ap. further deaths trigger more explosions until everyone is dead or someone doesn't die.

IF ONLY IT WAS A PISTOL!!!!!!!! You could then strap it on an AL Moritat with their Legion Specific Pistol too! GAH THE MISSED OPPORTUNITY FOR HILARITY!

...Oh well.

I think that gun will see a fair use in ZM games because of how short its range is and how devastating it can be to bunched up units. More so in confined spaces where a large blast can potentially hit more than one squad...

I may go uber cheese with the Imperial Fists relic and give it to a Primus Medicae on a Jetbike. 2+ Armor, T5, (4?)5+ Invulnerable, eternal warrior and an additional 3++ invulnerable to melta AND FnP 5+! Comes stock with a Heavy Bolter, Can give him a Solarite Power Gauntlet and he's super fast because its a jet bike!

I hope someone can tell me if this is impossible to make because this is ridiculous.....

...He'll cost nearly as much as a Land Raider though, LOL! Ahh Hero Syndrome I love/loathe thee so.

Once someone in our group gets the book, on our next 500pt expansion I may try to add some of these relics in. Maybe though Allies or somesuch since we will have some ZM games in our campaign using our Space Hulk Tiles as a board (depending on if its warranted or not) I may try out this gun and how devastating it can potentially be.

Yeah. Likely for not that much cheaper, if any of their other spec. eds. are anything to go by. Maybe 5-10 pounds at most?

If you're on a tight budget, yeah, no judgments from me (I'm now on a student budget :x) but if you can spare it the Special Comes with some nice things like the reference sheets which are mighty useful when playing with people who aren't familiar with the rules.

in fact, i wrought these lines in haste after reading some of the pages, as wow player i know the often false writed rogues, but as Hyaenidae already said, english isn't my first language, in fact i wasn't good at english@school, and i'm a little bit dyslexic too, so i'm missing most of the higher grammar, and learned english mostly from reading books and forums msn-wink.gif. Sorry for that bad mistake rolleyes.gif

Heck with the rules, it's the fluff and stories which are really making this book worth every penny right now.

On that note, I'm finding myself falling in love with the Knight Household of Ærthegn. What a pack of badasses.

I might be forced to re-think my avoidance of Knights, much to my surprise.
