Give it a bit Rx2 soon you will hit your stride and start crushing those ravens under your boots. I really look forwards to seeing you and WLK having your first game once your word bearers are where you want them it will be a epic game I'm sure as all your games are. They really ignite my hobby and keep me motivated while I wait on parts.

Haha WLK that's just made my afternoon but seriously you guys are hugely inspirational to me someday soon I hope to be as much of a drive to others as you guys have for me. At one point I was prepared to leave the hobby but then I came to 30k and saw this thread it showed me I just needed a new direction and I want to just say thanks and keep on keeping on. Well Nova, we both may be waitin a hot minute on where I want the full force to be.....but then again greed is an easy thing to have for a WB. I figured 10k would be a good stopping point. For now, we wait for reinforcements!

 

Then again...there may be some support squads to work on at some point in the mean time.....

Wow Nova, and thank you. 

 

I can verify that keeping the game fun and fresh is sometimes a struggle, but finding the right opponent(s) is the key.

 

If these reports are fun to read, Rx2 deserves much of the credit.

Nova, the part you don't know is that there are Moon River and Beer bribes. WLK is a host of hosts, and like any good heretic, apparently with so many names to bloat the ego, I am obligated to eat, drink, and laugh at knowing the grimdark stays especially......grimdark for his RG.

Well creating a welcoming environment is part of having a good time.

 

For example, the heretic known as RR is a fan of Chewy Chips Ahoy cookies, so I try to have a pack whenever he comes up.

We start off the day with a trip to a local pizza joint, Moon River (best pizza in the South), then play the game with multiple breaks throughout the day. I usually have a movie in the background, and chilled 6pack of "It's Not Your Fathers Rootbeer". Enough to enjoy but not a problem.

 

We can game at our own pace, stop to discuss rules or whatever, and not have to deal with the dreaded gamer funk.

It does limit our playing circle, but I'd rather have a fun game than multiple games

Not to mention my die rolls love to see me eat...... But seriously, this enviroment trumps lgs anyday. Not to say the stores are bad, but man, you just don't get the same :cuss talkin Amon Amarth beer drinking hatey hatiness that comes with a day's long relaxing hate-fest.

RR.. Love the red you have on the Sparta. The underside looks better though!! :D Just joking.. The tracks give it a nice edge.

 

Battle report is as awesome as ever and I have to admit that I wish I could join in.

 

I also agree about the quality of the game rather than the gamer pool. I have just one friend I ever game with and I would never trade that. LGS's leave me a bit cold in truth, so to be able to relax and goof around play at my pace is the best way.

 

These reports are an inspiration and have me tinking about something I have never considered working on... Terrain, so I can someday have my own gaming table.

actuall had R2 and some visiting friends for D&D...unsurprisingly I was confrontational with near everybody not in our party. they mostly deserved it
