@slipstream- no I have a brother who in turn with Me has too much money when I said I was preparing for wolves v sons action I meant it already were looking at just for Infantry 160 Sw Tacticals... waiting on upgrade packs though.

@olis- the lottery? No no not at all just another decent purchase to make amends and support Forgeworlds checkbook.

@Marshalrohr- buddy it's only the start so don't you stress yourself this will be the interior of the fang eventually

Thanks buddy, now I've got an announcement;

If anyone who's any good with photo shop or editing tool is reading this I'd like to invite you to participate in a competition.

The challenge;

To take this image and turn it into the official Kurama reviews the Horus Heresy logo.

In return I will build a custom centurion on a display plinth from dragon forge bases for the winner, now the deadline will be the start of ETL V so there's plenty of time, hopefully someone out there will be willing to get on board and this is open to everyone.

So with that said go nuts have fun and be creative; throw a nine tailed fox on it or fireworks or whatever the entries will be put up for voting once the deadline comes.

So some of you may have already seen this but I realized I never posted the finished fire raptors.

This kit was fantastic to work with and im more than happy to vouch for how great and fun this kit is to build and paint, if your ever deciding to drop some cash on a flyer I recommend this bad boy.

The next fire raptor I build will be the heavy bolter variant just to change it up but I will post a finished photo of it.

sorry this one took so long to post I got pretty distracted for a good 6 months. Next up will be the Fellglaive build and/or a Betrayal at Calth box set, thanks for looking as always ladies and gents.

you should have split that into 14 separate orders, and gone for all the Titans.

I was going to but then I'd be a pretty big dick, plus when your buying bundles it's hard to split them up into smaller transactions.

I will however say om going for the Reaver mainly so I can run him as support for the warlord

Well......There's talk that if the BL Weekender is shelved for another year that the fan-con from last year will be held again (depending on who can attend obviously) so you might get a triple hit of goodness :D

Keep us informed though mate. I haven't made my annual pilgrimage so far this year, of course if the FW Open Day is happening that's all the excuse I need laugh.png

Fingers crossed then, just got to wait to see how much shore leave my brother gets, we may bring a wolves and Imperial militia army together if we can arrange an event, the only issue is the misses doesn't know this yet

You sweeten the deal and tell her she can get let loose on Oxford Street for a day whilst you play with your little toy soldiers ;)

The ONLY way that falls over is if she doesn't exhibit the same trait as 99% of women and love shopping lol

No she does she just hates warhammer more and she probably wouldn't want me and my brother loose without supervision we tend to get drunk and fight and I don't mean words I mean physical beltings on one another because that's how we show our love

Legion Fellglaive Super Heavy Tank; Build

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/99590101326_LEGIONGLAIVE1_zpsqdfvbhxb.jpg

holy :cuss balls I finally built this, admittedly it took me 3 hours to build after work but for the size and difficulty of the kit I say it's a pretty quick build time. So the Glaive, what can I say other than :cussing gaps, yes you will see shortly what I mean. Now tonight ill be gap filling but I'm in a rush for an update here so enjoy;

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_172009_zps9wxjmwo3.jpg
http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_172333_zpswtlteszv.jpg

so first things first start building your chassis using the plastic components from the base blade sprue, take your time and don't stress.

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_173922_zpsin1aicke.jpg
http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_173929_zpsmu0rcepl.jpg

so next up we fit the lower plate and front bumper as best we can, note due to warping which I couldn't correct on the lower part of the hull Piece we do have a minor gap which will get filled with Greenstuff.

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_175337_zps2neutbxs.jpg

next up we fit (ensuring all the groves are clear of excess resin) the top section onto the chassis, play around with it if need be as the better the fit the better the finished product.

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_175447_zpsb4yymvgu.jpg
http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_175452_zpsobixuy9h.jpg

next we fit the engine block, minor gaps once again but don't stress these kits aren't perfect and will require some hand work to get looking great, I've built 3 of these already (Falchion and fellblade) so just take my advice.

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_180405_zpsc1rmo6kx.jpg

I then added the hull components and decided for a change to have a guy popping his head up through the hatch.

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_181521_zpsxhmfbgxx.jpg

so now this is where we are at, so what next? Well I decided to go for the turret as its a simple enough sub build.

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_182205_zpsneiqy25u.jpg

so all I did was glue the cannon together, attach the latches and the targeting array and there you have it.

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_183001_zpszjtdvot5.jpg

next I decided to tackle the side plates, now you might have trouble getting these to sit flush so I recommend rubber bands clamps and hot water, I also weighted these as they set using the weight of the tank to add enough pressure as the epoxy set.

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_184431_zpswgz2d7b4.jpg
http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_185834_zpsktza3wdh.jpg
http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_190231_zpsavwixuij.jpg

so next I added the track guides and started on the extra Armour plating, exhaust pipes And fuel barrels.

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_191248_zps8x5nowpo.jpg

I then went to work on the sponson guards (now alot of this is self explanatory but if you have any questions send me a PM and I'll help you out)

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_191255_zpsifdzpmp4.jpg

now we're 90% complete all that's left is the tracks and sponsons, this kit really is straight forward to build the hardest part is limiting the amount of gaps you have in the main body of the model, everything else then just slips into place once the body is sorted

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_193454_zps4d6pwjo6.jpg

so first up straighten any warped tracks and trim the plastic runners to fit

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_193703_zpspbca7nrs.jpg

now I started from the rear of the tank To get the alignment right, now this was probably the longest part of the build as I had to adjust the tracks slightly as I progressed.

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_195701_zpsscaeiulc.jpg

and then we get the front of the tracks to line up to the front guide track.

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_200623_zpsopeibvdc.jpg

now just the sponsons left.

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_204323_zps7fvccfba.jpg
http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_204550_zpstmuxjfmx.jpg

So we join the quad Lascannon pieces

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160316_205442_zpsfp0p6kdc.jpg

and then we place them in the clip and equip the targeter and power cabling.

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/20160317_055235_zpstfag65tn.jpg

here we go we now have a complete Fellglaive, now here's a comparison next to the Armoured Proteus and my fellblade.

Hopefully the MDRC appreciate this and all fellow members will consider getting the biggest current form of choom

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/3dmQe8U92D5YO8uxfu_YWflr5Cb6vkCrwaEfSV7JEwxiTlinnmt1Qhi73v5uNkA02giG-36ylUSdmtGiWINfxDJ0qN4Ngsua1hMCz0s5ra14uLqyGxAHRIKEUjE_zps7efxogtk.jpeg

Official Announcement and Query

http://i1279.photobucket.com/albums/y524/Taron_James_Beer/Mobile%20Uploads/images-603_zpsi04xvk2f_edit_1457601398899_zps2qfxzvnv.jpeg

And now for Something completely different; so I wanted to ask the community or at least the few people that actually read my ramblings how they would feel about my review thread adding something new to the mix? I'm about ready to commence my Imperial Militia project and I wanted to know if I should do the new project in conjunction with this thread and in the same format?

Now this would mean more content and to allow me to add new techniques and products that deviate from the current project of FW only products and can allow me to stay more motivated. Now I hate that in the past I've never kept a Log going and as this Plog has been going a good 9 months and I've still continued (although slowly) with it, so let me know below and if I get some positive feedback I'll be going ahead with a new facet to this project.

Regards,
Taron (Kurama)
