How have I missed this thread!? It's everything I ever wanted.

 

I have three freeblades done, Terminus(Paladin), Lux(Warden), and Dawnspear(Crusader Obliterator)

 

 

I'm still working on my Atrapos and converted zombie/horror lancer

I had problems with one shoulder and one shin pad... they are now taking a bath in fairy power spray!

I tried to paint white stripes in them using masking tape but failed badly. I dont know if I will try it again. There just isnt enough room to make them look good. So will put decals in them instead.

 

Btw, does enyone know if the titan legion transfers fit in knight panels? Or are they too big?

Would be nice to use some Firebrands symbols on the knights.

Do you guys think that my colour scheme looks too Khorny?

 

So far its

Black spray

2 layers of gal vorbak red (airbrushed)

2 layers of 50:50 gvr & word bearers red (airbrushed)

 

I was thinking of 3rd step with even brighter red but pure word bearer red might be too bright. Maybe 2:1 word/gal ?

Red and brass is pretty Khornate. Maybe an additional accent color? Just enough to break up the sea of red?

I like the scheme your going I just think once decals etc are applied it should help change it

Yes, it looks like khorne but the only fluff I found for House Col'khak mentioned colours as red and gold.

But yes, there will be white and black panels too!

 

I will build the knight first and then paint all the metallics and see how it looks with the panels.

 

Btw, vallejo air white is the worst paint there is! I would like to try something else, is gw's air white any good? Or maybe some other brand? I dont know any other except armypainter and they dont do airbrush paints...

Looking that Castigator on my wip pic I just realised that the upper leg parts are different from Atrapos.

I had to go double check mine, and you're totally right it has an armor plate molded into the thigh.

I have a question to the Reaver Titan owners. If you used JB Weld to build yours how much of that stuff one needs?

Because.... I just received a nice bonus from my local sports betting company and im about to order one! (12 champions league matches correct)

I found one online store from Finland who sells it. But it would be cheaper to order from UK if I dont need a lot of it!

No it's okay things are just hectic at the moment but house hermetika has a big update coming due to e tenbrae lux I think everyone is a bit exhausted. But more will return once the maintenance bay call goes out for the first official event come January

Come January 14th a one month competition will be commencing for the maintenance bay, now with the arrival of our biggest knight I'm hoping we can get some work underway.

 

Now all I'm saying is prepare yourself practice your freehand and conversion skills as it will help
