Quick one guys. In the last version of battlescribe I was able to add a knight as a low option. I saw recently with bs2 that I do not have that option anymore. Is this because they are not an option anymore other then allies or because it has been left out. Noticed no knights as an option.

Agh, I thought it would be available in one of the other catalogues if a second one was loaded but I can't see knights as a LoW in any of them :/

They'll need to be setup again. Might be able to get them working in the current system of - load a second catalogue and set the force org entry to lord of war.

Like most of the complicated stuff it's going to awhile to put in place.

Keep up the good work my brother.

Quick note however, I notice that you're unable to select Rites of War. If someone else has picked up on that feel free to ignore me

Rite of War has moved from the unit entry.

Add in your master of the legion and then scroll down to the Legion section and hit the + you'll have a Rite of War entry there now.

It won't work for a Primarch right now, as that gets added in a separate force. To set up a primarch chosen force you need to add a master of the legion unit, add the rite, set it to Primarchs chosen, then the Primarch will appear as a HQ unit and it can be added. Battlescribe goes banana's with validation errors though.

I need to work on a better method of adding a LoW and how rites are validated, it's quite complicated so it'll take a bit of time to figure out. It's going to be the first thing I work on after I finish updating all the basic Astarte units.

Thanks for the post! Better to say something rather than hope someone else reports it :)

----------

This finishes off the fast attack slot. If anyone would like to test this and the other slots I've finished (Heavy support and dedicated transport) and submit any issues I would be grateful!

I was going to do elites next but there are not as many units to do in troops so I'll work on that next, then dreads and after that the rest of the elites. I'll work on submitted issues for each release so post here or https://github.com/BSData/horus-heresy/issues or the appspot page http://battlescribedata.appspot.com/#/repo/horus-heresy via report a bug for the catalogue in question. Some issues are more complex than others so straight forward ones (profile/rules/points updates) will get fixed in a release or two.

Plasma guns, meltaguns and graviton guns (through head of the gorgon) are an additional 15 points more expensive than they should be

Can you give examples of two squads/units please? It'll make it easier to track down.

Sorry I forgot to include the unit, it is the tactical support squad

Hi Zopha,

I just noticed that Cor'Bax and Samus are not available as LoW in the WB list and cant be chosen as HQ in the Demon Catalog Just thought i Let you know if no one has pointed it out yet.

Is that the 40k catalogue? As far as I know we haven't integrated codex demon units or their own catalogue yet. It's on the list but one of the larger projects as the 40k file would need to be updated to use the main 30k Battlescribe file. We can set up something to add in Cor'Bax and Samus for the WB though.

Can Demons be used as a stand alone army in HH or are they allies/summoned only at the moment?

I haven't had much time to do battlescribe work the last few days, I have 1k of yellow to paint up (Yes, a pride of the legion list) before the end of January and I'm only half way through the bases.

Any eta on the optional LOW showing up ?

The in-army slot, no ETA yet but they're available at the moment if you add in a second detachment.

There's a few things to consider for the LoW slot. The Legion lists can take a LoW from their own list and use a Knight as a LoW, if we revert to the old way we'd have to maintain a list of knights in their own separate file and separate entries in the Legion file and the Mechanicum file, along with Militia and Solar Aux if they can use a knight as a LoW as well. It would generate quite a bit of work to make sure they're all kept up to date. They're the more extreme example but some LoW's can be used in multiple armies and unfortunately Battlescribe doesn't allow us to share those entries across those files. It does let us put common entries in a root file, the .GST. Moving or adding LoW's to this file presents it's own issues as it increases the size of every other file when a catalogue is loaded on battlescribe.

So, the options I'm looking at and have asked the other maintainers to think about/give opinions on (we're up to four active people now, hopefully)

1. Go back to the old system and maintain separate entries for each LoW in each army. A pain to maintain on our side.

2. Stick to the current system and fix it's current issues (Primarchs not counting as Master of the legion, etc)

3. A bit of both. Maintain LoW's in their own catalogues only, to add in one from a different army (Knights) you'd add in a detachment and change it to a LoW detachment similar to the current system.

We'll have to use this second army method for some options as well. The Army of Dark Compliance is one example, otherwise we'd have to add all the militia units to the Legion file and it's quite large as it is. I can see this happening more with Inferno content as well, mainly the Talons of the Emperor units and maybe Space Wolves if they follow the "squad to watch every primarch" outlined in the BL books.

An example of how a multiple army list would work is the War Convocation and Cohort Mechanicus formations in the Cult Mechanicus and Skitarii 40k battlescribe files.

This turned into something longer than I realised it would, I've been thinking about this for the last week, I hope it doesn't confuse things even more. if it does please ask any questions and I'll try to clear it up.

I just noticed in the Taghmata list that the maximum of Vorax is set to 5 but it should be 6.

We have an issue logged for this https://github.com/BSData/horus-heresy/issues/652 along with a Castellax error. Both should be fixed on the next release. I'll see what free time I get today but it'll more than likely be towards the end of the week.

I was talking about the baneblade chassis Low as they aren't available for LA

Is this the list of additional super-heavy and orbital strike wing flyers listed on page 10 of the Army list red book?

I haven't looked at them at all yet, we have an issue open to get them added ( https://github.com/BSData/horus-heresy/issues/528 ) but still have to find the location of profiles for each one that doesn't have a reference in the red book. No ETA on them but if anyone has a list of where to find the profiles for each one it will speed up their implementation a little bit.

Yeah that's the ones. Fair enough get to it when you can dude. Thanx for getting back to me

Just found out the work has been done in a previous update but for some reason, they didn't transition over to the BS2 files. Still no ETA on when they'll be added but it should be much easier for us now.

Does this list look fairly complete? and can any other HH armies take them as optional LoW units?

Just noticed Today that the Legion Tarantula Sentry Gun has all the Gun Options its suppose to have, but they are all listed as No Cost. I know this worked like a week or two ago. I don't know if this is due to you working on the Fast Attack Choices.

Yeap, that's usually my fault although I had a look on my phone and the costs look correct. Only two of the choices have a cost, TL las and MM with searchlight.

Can you clear out your catalogue data and see if that fixes it? You can delete data from the menu in Manage Data. Take a look at this: https://battlescribe.net/?faq=refreshData

I think I'll need to revisit that entry at a later stage. I wasn't completely sure how to handle the complete replacement for the Hyperios so the entry comes with no weapons selected, you have to add them on to make them appear on the profile.

Yes from what I read Demons are a stand alone army in HH and can only be taken as Allies by the WB

Below is Cor'bak discretion of how he can be used Samus is the same I hope this helps

Lord of the Ruinstorm 9 Cor’bax Utterblight is a Lords of War choice for a Codex: Chaos Daemons army. If Cor’bax Utterblight is selected in an army which uses Codex: Chaos Daemons as its Primary Detachment in Age of Darkness games, Cor’bax Utterblight may be counted as a HQ choice rather than as a Lords of War choice. If this is the case, then Cor’bax Utterblight must be the army’s Warlord and has the following Warlord trait rather than rolling to determine a trait.

Cor’bax Utterblight, Daemon Prince of the Ruinstorm, may be chosen as a Lords of War choice for the following armies in Age of Darkness games: Word Bearers Legiones Astartes and Codex: Chaos Daemons (see also the Lord of the Ruinstorm special rule).

Just did that and it seems to have fixed it.

However, when Selecting Blood Angels Legion, which grants Access to Assault Cannons as upgrades from Heavy Flamers the Point cost remains at No Cost. It should be 5 points as Listed in Book 6 Under BA Rules.
