The Anvils of Konor - Champion Grune Thrael painted!

YES! Everything about the Claudius is perfect. Which is fitting for an Emperor's Children!

The cloak came out great and as most have said I love the throwback to the pose of the old company captain mini. The smoothed armor looks great as I said before and that filigree just knocks it out of the park. The addition of the legion badge and what I Think are beads for gemstones are icing on the cake. I need to see this guy painted!

I really hope I can replicate a fraction of this with some of my EC.

that is incredible work, well done!

Many thanks squire!

Thank you very much Hushrong! I'll try to get some tutorials up soon for the filigree and gemstones!

Wow he looks amazing completed! You really went to town with all the little details, especially that wing on the shoulder pad! Looking forward to the Warhawk!

Thanks Vairocanum. I'm very happy with how the wing turned out!

Need to start reading Scars again to get ready for the Khan of Khans!

That's damn amazing.

Humbled Magnus. Many thanks.

Emperor's Armpits man, that's superb! Wonderful work.

Thanks a lot dude!

That might just be the best Emperor's Children conversion I've seen yet. Gorgeous!

That's very kind of you to say Henricus!

You're obviously suited to the IIIrd Legion... looking forward to the next perfect warrior :tu:

Might have some Phoenix Terminators on the list to buy soon...

Hey guys,

I started re-reading Fulgrim a few days ago and decided to make my own version of Solomon Demeter.

I wanted to represent him using battle-sign with his troops before "going down the centre", as was his classic style. He is also equipped with his self customised bolter which gave a slightly better rate of fire without jamming.

LordCommanderEidolon is sending me over Gabriel Seth's eviscerator to convert up and sling under his backpack, and I'll need to sort the legs out, add a little ornamentation to his pads, knees and vambraces anf then add a cloak.

Very keen to hear what you think, and whether he represents the Captain of the 2nd Company well!

For the Emperor! For the Phoenician!

Claudius is looking fantastic. Inspiring work on the detailing.

Many thanks Markus! He was great fun to make!

He looks fantastic so far, really like the phobos boltgun conversion!

I'll be honest, I'm not really a fan of the head but I can't think of anything else to suggest.

Everything else looks great, I will admit I am supremely envious of your modelling skills.

This is another great model even in the early stages. You never stop impressing me with your skill and vision for your models. It's also nice to see a Captain do so,thing other than point or look heroic. Massive thumbs up Brother!

Looking cool so far! The work on the boltgun is superb, that's some really accurate cutting. I'm not too big a fan of the head, but that's just cause of personal preference. Looking forward to seeing what other details you add to it!

Thanks man. Yeh, some others aren't too hot on the head but I'll have to have a look through options more carefully when I get the time! Will hopefully be able to sort the rest out for him next week :)

Oh man, it's been ages since I read Fulgrim. So far he looks good!

Thanks Magnus. About 20% through and forgot how seamlessly it flows. Really top book!

Thanks Angrypantz! I realised I wanted to break away from the standard heroic pose I so often do, which might be a contributing factor to the mixed reception of this guy so far?!

Either way, I'm pretty happy with him, and I'm confident that when I've finished the sculpting and added his sword he will garner more support!

Thanks dude! Will add details to his bolter, kneepads and pauldrons, add a fancier backpack and cloak. Possibly some braiding too and *maybe* tassels! Otherwise, his massive sword and maybe swap the hand for something a little more proportioned?

DUde, CLaudius Vardo is amazing. I can't even begin to describe the envy I feel over that cloak-and-fold in his left hand. Simply incredible.

Thanks Augustus! Was really good fun to replicate the classic pose of the Master of the Fleet! Glad you like!

An excellent start, brother. I expect this will look impressive when you're done, as per usual. ^_^

My thanks Olis! You always humble me with your praise! I'm looking forward to getting time to work on him! :D

Hey guys,

It's been a while since my last upload; been busy sorting out my travels in China and starting possibly too many projects!

Nonetheless, the legend that is LordCommanderEidolon sent me some of the new Poxwalkers along with four finecast servitors and I was able to enact a plan I'd had in my head for a while.

It was relatively straightforward merging the parts, and I an delighted with the result. The new Poxwalkers are oozing with detail and together with the bulky servitor suits look the part for corrupted deckhands from the I'll fated Scythe's Edge.

The last two need some tlc still to fill some gaps/add detail bit I thought I'd share where I am currently.

I plan to run a squad of ten aux in my ZM force, and will likely grab the First Strike poxwalkers along with the Genestealer Neophytes to represent a ship security force that fell foul of Nurgle's caress.

I hope you guys like. C&C welcome!

That looks great! Definitely a unique use of the two sets!

Thanks dude! I'm glad you like the combo!

Wow those corrupted deckhands look amazing, exactly what I picture when thinking of what lurks within space hulks. Fantastic concept with stellar execution, hope you have a good trip.

Thanks Vairocanum, I'm delighted they worked out ok! I actually picked up the Nurgle half of First Strike yesterday for my next conversions!

Guess what idea I'm stealing brother :D Like that you revomed their horns, I'm gonna have to do that too, it looks much better. Was it much work?

Wasn't too bad. You can leave it a little lumpy as they're touched by Nurgle ;)

I've seen these on FB recently - I forget that you actually have a real name, brother! :lol:Love them. (Relatively) Simple, yet effective work. :tu:

Haha, glad you like them Olis!

Maybe grab a couple SA minis and mate them to some degenerated parts as well:)

That's actually a really good call! Have been having a look today and I will test it out ASAP!

Hey guys,

Sorry it's been a while, been galavanting around China and am currently sitting in the departures lounge in HK airport waiting for my flight to Australia to see an old friend.

However, before my frankly hellish journey into Hong Kong from the mainland, I started work on my own interpretation of Saul Tarvitz of the Emperor's Children.

Still early days, but these WiP pics give a good idea of where I'm headed.

C&C welcome, as ever.
