Previously, yes. This time though it's three pages worth of stuff. A lot of it is of course repeats, stuff like insignia and Chapter organisation. It can be summed up as

Their homeworld is called Novaris, their Chapter Master is called Akilios Zanaris, they have an affinity for dueling and storms, they're of Ultramarines lineage, and they're obsessively Codex compliant. They have standard markings, with the only deviation being that the company colour and squad number go on the left kneepad. So far they've fought a lot of traitors.

I'd love to say that they are really cool and unique and that I'd be tempted to do them (if they weren't Ultramarines geneseed that is), but there's not much information on them so far.

The wiki link above gives inaccurate information on their uniform. Probably because it's conjecture based upon a picture rather than using actual information. The left kneepad is not a standard black, that Marine is just from the 5th Company.

The rumours of a rhino in the magazine: is that true?

If so I'll try to get multiples of that one but its hard trying to coordinate with the newsagent and Hachette. I missed the myphitic blighthauler issue and it still hasn't arrived despite me requesting two.

This is like a slow creep collection. I didn't even realise I was a Nurgle collector..

Anyone else find it contradictory to descibe a chapter with a clear codex deviation as obsessively compliant?

There's no contradiction because they don't deviate from the Codex. The Codex includes different variations of markings and heraldry. It also encourages Chapters to change their markings over time to stop enemies becoming too familiar with force organisation.

The Codex isn't a strict rulebook that only allows one set of insignia and one organisation type. In fact, even the standard company organisation of a Chapter (veteran, 4 battle, 4 reserve, scout) is malleable, as is the accepted standard company size of 100 marines. The only stipulation in the Codex is that one company should be a Veteran company (it doesn't even have to be the 1st company) and the other companies should be devided between battle and reserve companies. Add onto that the fact that there are different variations of the Codex that don't all agree and it's not hard for a Chapter to be Codex compliant while also having some variation compared to other Codex compliant Chapters. It's a common fallacy among the 40k fanbase that deviation in organisation or markings breaks Codex compliancy.

Just been looking on eBay at some of the prices for sealed copies of this magazine. Wow is all I can say! Some right jokers on there with their prices.

Does anyone think hatchette will have more stock in of previous issues like a few weeks back? Could do with picking up 16 as I missed it the other week. Don’t fancy paying £20 for it on eBay. No big deal if they don’t or I can’t get a copy.

There's a rhino in the collection pic but my worry is it may be a perk for the premium collection?

I wouldn't worry, the premium collection is aimed at dice, reference cards, and fold-out gaming mats from the looks of it. Be daft for them to say 'collect all this' in the picture and then have one thing be only for premium subscribers.

Slightly off topic question: For anyone who has subscribed to Conquest from the start, does your subscription show as having started from Issue 0?

I only recently subscribed when I discovered it was still possible to subscribe from Issue 1, but on the Hachette Website it shows my subscription with "Starting Issue: 0"!

Do they send all the issues up to the current issue to you or are they sending them monthly mate? I’m considering subscribing after being against it.

Honestly not sure yet!!! I actually only submitted my subscription on the 31st December when I was looking at the back issues and saw that it was still possible to start a new subscription from Issue 1.

I would imagine they will have to try to catch me up to the current issue as my subscription is so far "behind" the normal schedule but I'm not sure how that will work as nothing has been sent out to me yet.

You will sent them like everyone else with the first delivery being 2, then 4 after that per month. I am already a month behind and I have not been given an option to catch up.

Cheers! If you ordered your subscription through the Hachette Website are you able to check if it says your subscription started from Issue 0? I'm a little concerned that as I ordered late it might show that as an error!

WARHAMMER CONQ N.2
Credit Card Payment - Thank you

Thats what I have on my initial subscription before I upgraded.

Honestly it will save you a lot of time to wait until your first delivery and see what you get than try to tackle Hatchette's customer service, unless you have to.

Sorry to sound glum but Hatchette are great when everything works out but are a pain to sort out when it doesn't. I have had a lot of problems that I have had to fix over a few subscriptions but I am now 60 issues in on Warhammer Legends with no problems apart from the absolute :cuss show that the start was.
