It's a shame however how few were made - on release day I added my copy of House of Blades to the cart, then the Escher Tactics Cards, then the two sets of House Dice - went to pay a minute or two later and the Cards were no longer available. eBay scalpers no doubt had a hand in the quick sell out of stock.

Yeah, I don't know what GW is up to with the cards.  The last 2 releases all sold out within a few hours, this lot is all limited to 1 per customer, and it still sells out within a few hours.  I don't know if they did get more stock, if they can't (no capacity at the printers), or if GW "don't want to". :/

Also, I don't think the Open Hive War or Zone Mortalis Cards are printed anywhere else (like the Underdog Tactics Cards) :(

God-Emperor preserve me, the typos. Top two are Ammo 4 bolters and power knives having power axe stats (but no power axes despite artwork of them).

Have a read of the Khimerix scenario. If it appears and charges someone, doesn't seriously injure them and then nobody attacks it, it just sits there and does nothing.

I can only assume that everyone on Necromunda carries balls of yarn to distract stray mutant-xenos kitties :D.

Forgeworld does love their typos :D

With the cards stock levels its a bit of a balancing act, its ideal for GW if they sell out on (or near) release as it means they get maximum profit and dont need to make shelf space for them. Theyve tweaked the levels in the past but i think they always order too few with specialist games unfortunately, in fact in general they are very conservative with SG stock levels which is occasionally a big pain.

Still, at least you can just not use tactics card and lose nothing :P

The FAQ came in quickly. Escher boltguns are fixed, power knives are still not entirely themselves, wyld bows do indeed do damage, and the venom claw is indeed a melee weapon.

Claws are the better weapon for general use. Entangle is really good. But swords combined with Combat Virtuoso puts them above claws. Even a starting Death Maiden with those two combined has a 10-12" melee threat range, which is massive in Necromunda.

I've not used claws yet, but I have used a sword combined with Combat Virtuoso and it made the Maiden into a blender. She wouldn't have been able to pull off half the stuff she did without the 3" Versatilve from Combat Virtuoso.

Edit: there's two Maidens in the kit. I'd suggest one of each. That way you have the sword for when you want to run Virtuoso and the claw for when you feel like using something different.

Anyone have any idea when the forge world models that were originally shown off with the Escher release will go up for sale? The doc and the enforcer chick were two of them.

No release date yet. I'm hoping it's soon, but given Necromunda is a bit of a red-headed step child as far as FW is concerned, I'm not holding my breath.

Scrutinator-Primus Servalen and cyber-mastiff KB-88, the Rogue Doc and Gang Lookout go up for preorder on the 20th September.

New hammer champion? I recognise the other two from Necromunda articles and stuff, but not the hammer one. She’s very cool.

A new upgrade pack from Forge World is being released on 11th October, which is where you'll be able to find those new bits. :tu:

Yeah, it looks good. I will be looking forward to what they do for Van Saar next year. Also, it would be nice, if they made the weapon packs with "other" weapon options like "long rifle" "long las", boltgun and what have you...

Including a power axe, amusingly. Which isn't on the weapons lists.

Are they starting to hand out Trading Post weapons too? If so, they need to step up their game.

Yes, and the heads/necks seem to have the same attachments as the other Escher kits, so there are customisation options. That said, £19 for one slender figure seems a little much. I'd have much preferred a three-model bundle akin to the Hired Guns bundle.

Aye, in Aussie dollars the new Escher girls are $44 AUD each, while the awesome twin pack of Apollus Kage & Krotos Hark is only $60 AUD... :ermm:

I'm a little disappointed with the pricing.

The argument that this is a niche hobby only goes so far before it becomes a bit ridiculous...

Anyway, always nice to have more options. The Champion weapon pack looks tasty for sure! The combi-weapon and two-handed power sword in particular are weapons that my ladies shall be equippe with in the not-so-distant future! :D
