@darkhorse0607 Really smooth work on the despoilers, Horus looks ace too!

@dicebod Those Vorax look smashing, I also hadn't realised how tall they were!

@Iron Hands Fanatic Very nice job with the power glow!

I've finally finished the beast that is the Shadowsword/Baneblade/.... Here's a picture of it in the tank-hunter configuration, check my log here for more details and switched loadouts.

here's a Chaplain/ Dark Apostle Dreadnought conversion & build commission I finished up last night for a friend as part of her 30k Word Bearers army (minus some gap filling), very pleased with this spiky, shouty boxnought

Picked these up a few weeks ago and very much looking forward to getting them built and on the table:

It'll probably take a little while, but I've got the core elements planned and ready to go - it was just the leadership cadre that needed bolstering!

Box of Contemptor arms and a Vigilator turned up today.

Now have two of most arm barring Heavy Bolter (none), Plasma Cannon and Chain Fist (1 each) for fun. Bizarrely my "claws" didn't appear to have the claw talons but fingers identical to the "fist" but the inbuilt weapons are different. Will have to take a proper look when I'm home again.

Definitely will be looking at magnets.

Each time I have bought the claw arm, it has always had both claws and fingers.

So they do, that's pretty cool.

Now I'm trying to work out if I should have bought more claws instead but I'm happy to have some Heavy Flamer options to burn the Traitors.

Some pretty sweet looking Ultramarines there!

So, I'm entering the world of 3d printing, got a Mars 3, and of course I've gotta try out some Heresy marines. For your consideration:

The prints aren't 100% perfect, but man the quality and crispness is there. I've got about 40 MKIV (with truscale legs) printed up. Should I go with SoH?

I was talking with a friend last night on the slight scale increase with the new MkVI from what more learned frater's were able to tell by lining up the bases and it got us wondering if with a little help from some greenstuff could the plastic Mk3/4 be scaled up slightly so to not look as out of place.

One morning later of building a CSM, a Mk3 and Mk4 with the extra green stuff and some other models added into the shot I came up with this that I figured I should share at the very least.

Not accounting for poses (and the fact that I should have done the torso/leg joining first before trying to push the torso onto the legs which were greenstuffed to the base) and the fact it was a slight rush job it doesn't look too far off.

Bought a cheap second hand Storm Eagle before the pandemic that I thought I'd rescue...

...little did I know that not only had the previous owner painted it in three different paint schemes one on top of the other with thick paint, but he had also not bothered to sort out warped resin and mouldlines. Today I also found out that he had glued the engine blocks on the wrong sides so I had to disassemble them too and clean up all the excess superglue-leftovers...

...sigh, but at least I'm closing in on finishing my rescue operation now. Just glued together the fuselage.

...it looked so good on the pictures the previous owner posted before I bought it...

This is one of the easiest and best looking conversions. Some people add a smaller greenstuff blob on the neck, but I'm unsure as to how does that look.

I did do that initially (and do for some of the Resin heads as their neck bit is sometimes smaller than the plastics) but the heads didn't seem right, looked like they were stretching their heads up so I took it off. It's possible I used too much greenstuff, I may try a smaller blob for the Mk4 in future (still have some to build).

I've been painting up a Landspeeder I got secondhand, also been making the crew look a little more era appropriate, found a random half MKII torso that I've filled out:

@ToyShip That scheme is gorgeous, great colour.

If you can get some of the old shouldered heavy weapons, those look good. Devastator or even Havoc weapons will probably work in a pinch.

MkVI arms are pretty close to MkVII, so most of the those kits should fit fine. The Assault Squad and Vanguard Vets are good to look at, especially since they come with jump packs.
