Photon grenades?

 

Yep, you can throw a grenade instead of fire a bolt round.  I think the idea is you could toss the grenade to try for a stun on the Bullgryns.

 

It's worth a go - although they are toughness 50, so it's an even split if it would work, with Unnat Tough x 2 which adds two DoS to any success on the test.

 

Did you take Photons?

 

Or just throw a Krak Grenade at one and roll high for damage.

Think maybe people are getting mixed up with Brynjarr, as your resident grenadier he had a couple of photons in the previous Ep.

 

Anyway, added Scatter for Svelk's Miss, didn't hit anything. So we just need Decimus' BA Actions, then it's back to Draak!

Ah, but the terms used for things in the 40k galaxy vary so much from Chapter to Chapter and world to world? Demi-human (or half-man?) could be an alternative to Abhuman, it has a similarly derogatory feel to it?

 

Side point, if players are around and want to post Round 2 Actions for Draak, Brynjarr (plus crewmen) and/or Orphiel, feel free. As long as we get Decimus' Bolter Assault and regular Actions in before the first enemy unit to act (the Stormtroopers), I don't think the exact order matters too much.

@Mazer: I'm out at the mo, without access to books, so I might be remembering completely wrong, but I thought a character could only benefit from 1 Squad Mode Ability in each Round...? Maybe I'm remembering it wrong though... :D

I did notice that one of the icons for Naval Ratings C has disappeared. I think that it was the at the back that was on the Yellow and Black hazard marking. No one has shot at them and they are still Mag 30, so there should be 11 icons and not 10.

Nah, it was my mistake in the initial set-up. I usually assume about 3 Mag represents 1 individual, so 30 Mag is a 10-man squad. But when I was removing casualties from Ratings B I realised I'd mistakenly put 11 troopers in each squad. So I took 1 out.

A question for the rules lawyers: are you allowed to make two attacks on a charge via two-weapon wielder (and Our Hands Bring Death)? My understanding of the rules would incline me to say "no," as it requires a full action to attack twice, whereas the charge action is considered a full action as well, but the RAW is a little murky on that count. Only one attack on the charge as it uses your full action, unless you have the preturnatural speed talent (capstone asaault marine ability).

 

You can get around it to a degree with a mix of assassin strike and the furious charge squad ability.

Well you have a jammed Bolt Pistol, throw a Krak Grenade and Charge into melee range during Bolter Assault. Then attack with Chainsword and Blade in your T3 action.

 

Edit: Whoops noticed that you are thinking about your T2 action. Charge (Sneakily of course)!

Yes, though if he can get to within 40m of the stormtroopers he would attempt to (without blocking his line of fire with ogryns or allies)

Nah, not at all! As long as its not jumping too far ahead of the order and it doesn't affect anything, its fine!

 

If he chose to shoot at the Stormtroopers before they had their chance to shoot, that might throw things off a bit, but charging the Bullgryn would be exactly the same, so I can just reorder it in the Summary!
