Thanks! They took enough time, I bought them in the army box on release day. I've been looking at people with 60 crusader lists and wondering how on earth people get them painted!

Can you pass me that white recipe?  I'm terrible at white, and would like to get better at it.  

 

As for the sixty man lists, I can only assume they aren't painted, or it's been outsourced to multiple paint for you companies.

All of my white is just Corax white base paint.

For the robes, I properly cheated and just used Apothecary White thinned with contrast medium as the wash, which was an experiment I think paid off. I then used White scar to highlight.

 

The pads are just Corax, I think it's a great paint.

As things currently stand:

 

Dangerman is on course for the Seal of the Assault, with three completed vows, and a fourth in the pipeline, yet Lord Blackwood is also on his third, so there may be a joint placing to play for. We should also applaud Dangerman's worthy strategy of multiple small vows, may his modest progress be a lesson to us all Brothers.

 

At the other end of the scale, although Sword Brother Ryan's ambition is, as ever, an inspiration for all of us to dream bigger, he is about to set forth on a penitent crusade, leaving the field open for Lord Blackwood to take the Mantle of Command, but can he complete his final vow in time?

 

We are still yet to identify our judge for the Best in Show, and the people's champion is still to play for.

Update:

I got worried I had a bug so I re-read every post in the thread, made printed by hand checklist.

 

I found and fixed these mistakes:

 

1. Metzombie actually had three vows, not 2.  Corrected that mistake.  My bad.

2. Dangerman's vows were correct but I had the dates mixed up.  Corrected that mistake.  Too fast for me ;-)

3.  I left The Inquisitor off the list for some reason.  ?? Why, I cannot explain. A vow was made, 16-Dec-2021 (463pts) Fixed that too.

4.  I mis-read the thread (quotes of quotes threw me off) and accidently gave Grotsmasha 3 vows.  Just 2! Corrected.

 

My apologies for the errors.  I've corrected them.

[The Inquisitor]

Well, I see that I'm partial in completion so I'll post a pic up untl the time I had to shift gears.

We lost the initiative, then failed all saving throws against the plague of nurgle.  This is a loss brothers, but we shall consolidate and reclaim the ground that was taken! 

So, here's where everything stands right now.  If I had another couple weeks, could have finished.  Everyone got sick here, set my schedule back a couple weeks, and recovery time gobbled up chances to finish.  Then work would not wait for any vow. 

I'll probably finish sometime this month.  I'll post when I get done! 

Thanks for running this!  Going to FOR SURE participate in any 2022 vows.  Was really fun and helpful to get motivated.
