I believe the model is a Galápagos giant tortoise.

Wikipedias article has this to say on Diet, so neither broccoli or lettuce???

Quote

The tortoises are herbivores that consume a diet of cacti, grasses, leaves, lichens, berries, melons, oranges and milkweed. They have been documented feeding on Hippomane mancinella (poison apple), the endemic guava Psidium galapageium, the water fern Azolla microphylla, bromeliad Tillandsia insularis and the Galápagos tomato Solanum cheesmaniae.

You're both very likely dead if that roll stands.

However, @Iron Father Ferrum, I seem to have a little leeway here to help you, thanks to Ms Mini-Ferrum's excellent roll, which should be rewarded properly.

I noticed that Obi asked what he could do, and, to me, this was not satisfactorily accounted for. I'll do you a one-off deal. The D10 roll of 10 will stand as Opposed DoS to direction change (ie where you want to end up). If you can pass a Challenging (+0) Strength Test, which may gain Assistance (so effectively +10) I will reduce the veer by the number of DoS you acquire.

I will be brutally honest. You require several DoS. You may of course boost this with IP's as normal, buy a re-roll, add +10 etc.

PM your roll to me, and do not discuss it with any other Player.

An an opposed roll would the chaos marines unnatural strength come into play here? It's worth two full bonus degrees of success on a passed test.

Yes, that was my intent. It essentially means that ONLY Obi could accomplish it at this point.

It's either this or we talk about an Infamy Burn, because they're going into a building.

I'm starting to think that Xerxes should have aimed higher than a refractor field. Like a vehicle mounted power field generator... :p

This is reminding me a little of 5th edition 40k where dark eldar would sometimes deliberately fly their raiders at full speed into buildings (couldn't assault out of a turbo-boosting vehicle, but no such restriction on assaulting out of a crater).

Ah yes, the good old Zoom'n'Boom.

The pointy-eared, and deranged version of Tau's Fish-of-Fury.

Calling it now, Tarh dies and I spend the rest of the game role-playing a giant tortoise that dose not want to be eaten and is looking for a nice habitat on this new planet.

What colour Bandanna are you going for?

Victory.

Victory is the colour.

EDIT: With the splash landing out of the way, gentlemen we will move on.

  • @A.T. go ahead and assume you have moved to Harville and begin your work there/continue with any narrative you think appropriate.
  • @FabiusV4lcoran and @Xin Ceithan I will PM you both to discuss matters in due course.
  • @Lord_Ikka Go ahead and rendezvous with Tyro, Cain and the two warp breaches in waiting.
  • @Trokair and @Iron Father Ferrum go ahead and narratively conduct your extraction from the river. Assume the town is map south, and the side you want is map north. Be advised Mithra is amphibious and will be fine, but Tarh and the Co-Pilot will not.
  • @Lysimachus, @Necronaut, @Machine God, @Mojake, @BadgersinHills begin your narratives for preparing to launch, board and capture the freighter in that order.

We will narratively tie everything together in due course.

Are Tarh and Mithra still unconscious?

Yes, but you may attempt a Routine (+10) Toughness Test to wake up and act normally. Mithra is in no danger, as she's amphibious. You though, my lad, are at risk of drowning.

Your Co-pilot is in a worse boat (pardon the pun) since her TB is lower than yours, and won't last much longer.

Working on it. Will require some input from Tyro/Cain about ID docs/unloading various boom items.

After this, can probably just hand-wave the remaining hours until the Wasp gets nailed as Crux'as and all the fighters getting into position, with them just waiting for the second Arvus shuttle drop for the rest of the firebombs/explosives.

Edited by Lord_Ikka

I didn't realise it was happening at first either - but put simply, the Arvus doesn't have enough room for a single drop, and the Starhawk is too valuable to try for a round trip, plus the longer anything is in the air for, the more suspicious folks get. They're dropping off Crux'as and crew first, then coming back up for you, so your post is fine - it just happens after the first drop.

@Mazer Rackham will Tarh wake up on his own or do I need to do something to wake him up?

Try splashing cold water on... No wait we just did that bit. Smelling salts? Alarm clock noise? Use your "dad" voice?
