Don't you also get the bends mostly from being on a scuba tank (i.e. dissolved high pressure gas in soft tissue and bloodstream)? I don't think I have ever heard of free divers suffering from the bends, but I will admit to being fairly ignorant of things in the diving community.

As you rightly pointed out, yes indeed. This is due to slow build up in tissue over time, whereas SCUBA divers develop the tissue accumulation in atmospheric transition. Deep sea divers have to operate on mixed-air tanks to prevent rapid lethal build up, and atmospheric compression in the breathing gear. The lads who go to the ocean floor are compressed and decompressed over the course of a day to acclimatise going up or down.

Had a conversation with a guy stuck in one once, (they're allowed to call out on private business because, well...they're stuck...) and he sounded like he was on helium balloons.

Incidentally, the tunnels underneath our 40K Antwerp are real. They were designed as part of flood management, but during conflicts they were converted into troop and ammo stores. They run for miles around the city's perimeter.

Top 100 Things I Would Do As An Evil Overlord: (Codex B)

Rule 297: I will not have simple passwords. Anyone attempting to enter a Password that has been broken by my 5-Year Old advisor will be accepted, and will trigger a spray of bullets on anyone 'clever' enough to attempt it.

So just to confirm: the Astartes who AREN'T in the sewer (Hagga and Obie n dem) are in the market square rendezvous I put Atesh in right?  I was gonna have him run up all excitedly and be happy he recognized someone.

Obvious link, but it's still funny...

@FabiusV4lcoran Yep, I think all the Astartes are about to go into the sewer, but at this moment they're there!

Edit: sorry, I think I missed that you were there already... must be the chaos/hubbub of the situation, Hagga didn't spot him...!

Np just wanted to make sure!

Not even going to try to fake a passcode, just going to go with the social-engineering ploy of urgency and emergency (in this case, actually true), to make the guardians unsure of everything.

"It's an older code, Sir, but it checks out"

Well, gentlemen, the end of part two is now in sight.

Commit to your final actions now, please. Do as much damage as possible in the space of two or three integrated narrative posts, but after that, you must withdraw. Note that the Astropaths inside the precinct cannot now be eliminated, and word is out to first responders.

Some of your Secondaries may fail. Player choices must affect the gameplay. Opportunities must be afforded by the GM, but it is up to Players to take them. Note that Operations are supposed to take days or weeks of planning and prep. You achieved some of your targets in three days. I have accelerated the process quite a bit, but hope that I have given you all enough leeway to engage.

Rendezvous at the Starhawk and Arvus by 0000GMT Friday 01 May (ie Friday Morning) or be left behind to face the Imperium's wrath, because my oath, it's on the way.

Player rewards will be calculated on completion.

What's the plan, chaps? Break into smaller groups and coordinate narrative through DMs?

I probably just missed it, but where are (or will be) the Starhawk or Arvus Rendezvous points?

They're about twenty minutes away in a landing zone that isn't burned, blasted, swamped, filled with rocks, having daemons rampaging across it, shot up by autocannons, filled with angry, angry mobs of villagers, isn't being poked by bayonets, bombarded by rubble, shouted at by angry men strapped to rockets, or chewed up by an hungry-hungry Ambulatory Helmut.

Considering I'd have to be copied into those DM's and I'd rather not have my inbox cluttered, would you all mind terribly doing it in the IC, using OOC spoilered hints. TYVM.

I assure you Mithra is a Herbivore and only eats plants, and 1963 Volkswagen Beetle, but they tend to be hard to find, fight back and people get rather angry, so plants it is.

for those of storming the bastion form underneath, I have had a vague idea for a scene where we come to a closed blast door or similar, marine brut force strength wasn't nudging it so Tarh used the Autocannon to knock. Can write it up when I get home tonight if people are ok with the idea

What sort of Power Plant does Harville work off of?

It's on a multiple-dependency independent power grid varying by plant size and building requirements. The Arbites Precinct, Sororitas Cathedrum, Admin building and PDF all have their own generators, fusion, fission, who knows. The citizen conurbation goes off spill over connected through depots, grids, whatever. I mean it doesn't really matter now as @A.T. that district you're moving into is both crushed and flooded, I'm afraid to say. Bulk hauler smashed the hell out of it, and what's there is buried under tonnages of rubble, and what isn't is swimming.

You can loosen Ukalegon's codpiece for it later. If you leave for the Starhawk now, you'll be able to parcel up a convoy of 30 Servitors, both agricultural and technical and I'll randomly generate components etc for you as loot.

It's all buried mate, sorry.

Maybe I should just rescue some Sororitas from their Rhino’s.

Most of them are gone or dead. Open up a Chimera instead. Plenty more of those about.

Happy to double up on the autocannon goodness if you want to write Varne in as support

Didn't realise the central part of the city was that far underwater. How far out does the flooding stretch - is it practical to clear a path towards the armoury for Crux'as, otherwise Xerxes is off to try and supplement our recently depleted hanger bay.

Ok, Crux'as is pretty much dead on his feet, 9 wounds taken out of 11 total. His portion of the mission is going to be close to done after stealing all of the armory stuff. Don't really think he can help mucj with an assault when a thrown toothpick might take him out....
