Xerxes similarly has moved up to 20. Unaligned.

Sadly I don't think the 3 hour limit will give him time to make a detour to one of the automated haulers where he could blame any mutation on exposure to the warp core while redirecting it :p

GM

I'm not sure if anything came of the earlier suggestion that Xerxes would have rigged the dredge to drift on a specified once de-crewed - I wasn't sure if we had comitted to some kind of a handover on it.

Parts of a backburner plan that may have failed before it started to have a kind of hidden base for his experiments at some point in the far flung future.

Tarh is Unaligned.

Your Choices are as follows. Note that you can modify the roll by your Infamy Bonus, (so you can pick any one of these):

Roll 1: 100

95 Vampiric Addiction
97 Warp-touched
98-99 Warpsight
100 Wreathed in Chaos

Roll 2: 003

1-2 Addiction
3-6 Animal Hybrid
7-9 Bestial

@A.T. ONLY:

Spoiler

Automated Dredge is perfectly possible. When you find it again, it will be...er...empty or near as damnit, as the Ordo Kill Team has been through it like a bolter through butter. So cruising on default system orders is perfectly fine. The others merely won't know where it is, but you will.

It does, just saying there aren't too many that aren't focused on call shots or bolter-use.

Mighty Shot and Target Selection are quite good, though expensive (can't remember Alignment on those...)

Rapid Reload is cheap and super useful for a gunner?

Alternative is to focus on making him more tanky/ Nurgle-y - including the bonus above, you probably don't need much more to be Devoted at your next CP Check?

Illusion of Normality would be the 'safe' choice to keep the character as an infiltrator.

On the other hand warpsight has great potential...

Indeed, lots of options...

Ahem...

I am considering this one. Rapid Reload I already have. I'm also already quite tanky tbh...

This is not a challenge @Mazer Rackham, I repeat, not a challenge.

Warpsight?

Tarh did prey to the pantheon for protection during the Tower slaughter and had one very lucky escape from death at the hands of an Astropath. I had written that just to show that Tarh is more than a bit spooked by the place and its Inhabitants and that when faced with melee ranged threats he was not as good or prepared as ranged combat (the scene by the cut power also played to this).

However with those options Warpsight seems like a narrativley good fit, the pantheon granting Tarh a bit of the power/sight of those he faced there (or maybe the pantheon was not involved and instead a bit of astropath soul latched onto Tarh in that encounter, who knows?).

Xerxes already has four so it seems a little superfluous.

Leaning towards a willful disregard of the warp and chaos, 99 corruption with no outward signs and a stubborn belief that he has walked between the raindrops.

  • Kraggan:
    • Indulged in duplicity! -1 Khorne Alignment

You can take the man out of the Ad Mech, but you can't take the Ad Mech out of the man.

    • Indulged in Tzeentchian affairs! -1 Khorne Alignment

I just hope it doesn't make the XP purchase any dearer.

Okily dokily, Drei-Hands McBoomerface coming right up!

No, you're thinking of Drei-Hans Von Boomendorf, which, incidentally reflects a similar confusion in the early summer of 606.349.M39, when Herr Platter McBoomerface was accused of rustling several small grox from a farm on the world of Bounty, although it was far to the north in the Jurisdiction of His Most Worshipful Judge James 'Gunshot Gob' Gobrecki, who was very used to speaking loudly at all times.

Due to a clerical error in name reporting to the cross-eyed clerk of the court, Herr Ein-Blast Von Boomendorf was next on the list before the Judge in a case of exposing himself at the local hostelry in full view of the Reverend Mother Claudia Trampelbottom, the most holy lady of the northern cloister, who was in the tavern preaching on the risks of the demon drink.

So flabbergasted was Lady Trampelbottom, that she fell into a dead faint - upending the table upon which she was delivering her sermon, and breaking the jaw of a man who later described the bloomers under her cassock as 'voluminous'. This double-offence by the two parties involved was brought to the attention of the Judge, when, one of the revellers careened into the judicial precinct, and promptly evacuated his stomach contents all over the booking register.

To whit, both men were locked up in the cells, and their names presented at court the next day in the incorrect order. This has led to a family feud between the Boomendorfs and McBoomerfaces for over three centuries, with the respective families using such slurs as 'grox-fondler' and 'wobbly-wiffle'. It got so bad, that at one point the Commissar Corps were deployed en-masse to break up a mass duel between the families, when Lieutenant Colonel Funf-Minen Von Boomendorf arranged his whole platoon of tanks on the world of Korskan XXV during the uprising on that world, and charged the artillery platoon led by Captain Zooman McBoomerface.

Hence, in his second judgement, on appeal, Judge Gobrecki loudly declared that the McBoomerfaces and the Von Boomendorfs, although good and upright citizens should never marry each other, own farmland, nor shame the same toilet block.

Mixing the two families up has been quite the risque, but rather impolite joke at societal functions ever since, despite leading to several lethal duels.

Is that Hans that does dishes with that vile green hairy-lipped squig?

No, that's his Nephew. He's also got a third-cousin called Hans Kneads Your Bumps and Daisies.

I am looking at table 2-5 (p76 BC core) to see what I might want to spend the gained XP. Under Nurgle what does Unnatural Vigour do? I can’t find it anywhere else. I presume it is something like Unnatural Senses or Characteristics

Table 2–5: Advances by Alignment (page 76): Remove the Nurgle Talent “Unnatural Vigour.”

Crux'as will be up to 59 Infamy, 17 Corruption, 0 remaining XP after getting - Cold Hearted Talent (250XP, Unaligned), Scrutiny Skill to Experienced (400XP, Tzeentch). So he is now at 10 Tzeentch alignment to 3 Unaligned and 2 Slaanesh.

I figure those two are somewhat narrative given that he avoided getting entangled with the noble ladies, especially the younger, and that he wants to get better at figuring out people's motives (ie- he failed at least 2 scrutiny tests).

There was no re-hack of Ukalegon's jump pack. I was 'told by the GM' that the codes were still there, when he replied to my PM.

No roll needed, just drop some narrative into the IC about eavesdropping, as you have before, since no-one has had any opportunity to deal with it, the device would be active.

Anyway perhaps I was being played by him too?

It all adds to the narrative.

Typo

@Machine God Quoting your IC posts:

he was alerted to a conversation recorded between Ukalegon and Hagga over the comm-leech in the jump pack.

he was working on the Star Hawk, he was working on myriad things at once.

They were suspicious of him, he was always suspicious of all of them.

Yes the one of the back door codes.

Do the act, the mystery for the masses. Whilst you see all.

"My eyes to your eyes Lamenter, your machine speech to my machine spirits!"

"Grant me sight beyond sight, GOSUB."

"There is a hole in your mind. Shall we play a game?"

He concentrated to maintain a link, to gather an audio-visual video transcript of what occurred between Ukalegon and the pilot of the Bulk Hauler.

Pretty clearly, still spying and still using things he was warned not to use any more?

And he's now just told Hagga he had done it.

Sorry bud, but Kraggan was warned, and has pretty much brought the response on himself. It was borderline when everyone found out the first time, but now...? Again, no offence intended to you OOC, but our characters just dont really see any logical excuse to keep on letting him live?

Let us know how you'd rather handle it, narrative or crunch with Orokos? (It's kind of a forgone conclusion, so I'd prefer just narrative, but I'm cool if you want to roll it all out?)

20 minutes ago, Machine God said:

No I'm definitely going to go with the narrative approach.

As I recall the pack was never brought to Xerxes (who was only set to work on the ship and its servitors) and Kraggan was locked in a cage, so he does at least have a case to plead.

(or 500xp to spend on a minion - perhaps it's not Kraggan that has been caught but Alpharius all along...)
