Did I misunderstand something?  Mazer said we couldn't take any action -- just being snarky through "gritted teeth" -- so I assumed we're all still muscle-locked on the ground?

No what @Mazer Rackham the GM said was that No One could intervene or stop the event from happening and also they couldn't prevent Valex from leaving or catch up and stop him before he departs for his Secret Hideout.

He didn't say how long the effects of the the Black Blood Boogaloo would go on for.

No misunderstanding as far as I can see.

That's the essential bit. If you want to do stuff, you can stand up and get moving, but gentlemen, this is where the Part Ends. I intended you had initial reactions and then a little bit of waffling between yourselves, which you have completed.

I'll wait until Lord Ikka and couple of others have the chance to pipe up (Tarh) etc, and then I'll close up.

Don't be getting ideas of running to the bridge, gentlemen.

It's all over bar the inevitable shouting.

Crux'as isn't going to be much use here fellas, sorry. Combination of his wounds sustained and me being in a tournament for the next couple of days/out of communication means that you'll have to do without the charming conman.

Please don't forget him if the ship goes down!

Well gentlemen we're nearly there, so I will drop my final OOC thoughts into the thread to give our other busy players a bit more time to post.

Thank you everyone for making Part 2 of Blackest Heart a success, and I appreciate all of the hard work and creative posts that you've made. Once again, the Nookies have produced something quite special, and the RP and fascinating (sometimes hair-raising) reading accompanied by good old fashioned tongue-in-cheek has again proved a winner.

I'd like to thank all my Players, and I hope I delivered a good experience for everyone despite a few bumps and grinds here and there.

I'd especially like to compliment the newcomers to our formidable halls, and thank them for their willingness to get beaten up, pitch in, and to have a good go at every risky and pant-loosening task we assaulted - it was a real baptism of fire for you lads in here, I know some of you are RP old hands, but you've never flown with Rackham Crashing Airlines before, so you all produced impressive work and became part of our furniture handsomely swiftly.

I would also like to thank our readers. Without players there is no game, without readers a story is just words.

Thank you, sir, for the wonderful game, and I hope I didn't disappoint.  It's been a while.

And that's all we wrote!

Mr @Lysimachus, could you please lock the Blackest Heart Data Thread, and the Blackest Heart IC - cheers.

If it's ok, we'll leave this OOC open for queries and after-party for now.

Thanks again, gents!

That is correct. I regret I need a break to sort out 'board inappropriate' writing projects that require my attention.

Or lie down in a dark room for a very long time to recover from the coffee, red bull and caffeine pills that I require to keep you all entertained. (Which also probably speaks to the quality of my game)

But...probably both.

I mean you're just one step away from getting into the really fun stuff.

My ex-wives disagree.

I think we're getting off-topic.

I think Fab was asking what about his XP etc - mate, go ahead an spend it as normal. The sheets will be ready for next time then, so no messing around with paperwork.

Unless there are any questions about plotpoints, things like that, I'll ask Lysi to close the OOC up for us?

Certainly, I'll get this comment in quick, and maybe if agreeable close up on Sunday (in case Fabious or anyone wants to chat about their xp spends?)

Thank you very much Mr @Mazer Rackham , as always you've done a great job of giving us a fun setting to play within and taken on board our mad player ideas.

In some ways, I think I've learned that BC is the hardest of the FFG games to GM and play?

It's much more anarchic, for a variety of reasons, not limited to;
Having a mix of Astartes and Mortal player characters creates obvious difficulties.
Then, because everyone is selfishly out for themselves, that adds another layer of complexity.
The way Compacts work makes the game far more of a sandbox, rather than a linear story.
Finally, the Acquisition system is far more complex than Requisition.

However, I think Mazer has navigated these challenges with fairness, skill, and humour, so extremely well done to him!

Next time?  (stops the sobbing just long enough to hear more)

Yep, yep.

Give or take six years. Maybe seven.

Oh my - that’s what I call an atmospheric cliffhanger!

I’ll just jump in before TPK, I mean, this thread is locked…

Thank you, @Mazer Rackham for again hosting this venture into the den of infamy in particular.

And I want to thank all of  you for an all around fun, crazy time and excellent reads.

Extra shout out to the new cast - I think it’s always a challenge getting into an existing game /group but BC  might be an additional challenge due to the characters themselves being all meanies from the get go! But I feel it was handled very well and each new character brings something extra into the story and not just one more  warm body ! Really great work!

So - see you guys after the plumb

A huge thank you to Mazer for the amazing GMing, and thanks to all my fellow players for a wonderful, engaging and overall really fun environment to play in! Looking forward to what we get up to next. :)
