Nice conversion. i actually have a very old chimera. I’ve taken a few pictures for a size comparison. The hull is very roughly the same length and width, without the tracks. But then it has no engine! Thanks for the photos. It might work, but it's hard to tell if the wheels are the appropriate size. The plate that houses the turret ring is turned and it has part of it cut off on the Minotaur conversion. The Minotaur engine compartment is made out of plasticard layered on the blank spot left after removing most of the Chimera's rear end. The text says it can carry a squad plus officer for 11 ppl in total. However, if you subtract the chinera crew there are only 7 men pictured. Are the last four supposed to crouch in the gangway? Is this a common method? Edited April 30 by Rhavien Can't count! Curently it's manual. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be remote controled on the Inferno cutout and to be fair, there's no way such a small turret could squeeze inside all the mechanism for remote controll and enough place for a guy. Although, LR turret is supposed to have enough space for a gun breach and 3 men... 2 hours ago, Rhavien said: I'm curious. The text says it can carry a squad plus officer for 11 ppl in total. I'm pretty sure that either Chimera is to small for what it's supposed to do in fluff (common issue with non-FW vehicles) or the Inferno cutout is not really to scale and was made by someone with vague idea what an armoured vehicle looks like inside. I mean, there's a ladder on it. Going to the turret. A whole ladder inside a tank. SgtSharp
I don't have my copy of IA;V1 to hand so I can't say for certain, but I'm pretty sure that the vehicles are undersized compaired to what they are in canon, and even if they are the correct scale they are definately Heroic scaled. Maritn
Are the half-tracks this expensive because you can shoot with embarked Heavy Weapon Teams? If so, I'd have preferred it only as a transport for regular infantry... Edit: Man I wish we'd get vehicle facings back. That'd make the turreted scout car a lot better at its role. SgtSharp
I suspect that its priced obsenely highly because of the fearsome damage output you can get with in by comboing using the Armoured Infantry detachment, so its like Scions in that its paying a high price for being slightly above avarage in one detachment Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/387712-imperial-guard-commissar-graves-centaur-rsv-hippogriff-afv/page/7/#findComment-6169382 Share on other sites

And this is why detachment rules are a bad idea. Units get priced for the one OP combo and then are grossly overpriced outside of it.
