Oh, what about different Toughness values within the target unit? Where does that fit in?

I presume it's still majority rules, but I couldn't see it.

It’s only referenced for units with attached characters.

Off the top of my head I can’t think of units with mixed T just on the dataslate that aren’t Leader models.

I'm seeing rumblings of some stores getting lower than requested allocations for Armageddon, anyone got any news from their neck of the woods?

The FLGS I ordered through had 10 pre-orders but was offered an allocation of 15 - they decided to get all 15 to have extras to sell on the day.

Yep, basically exactly the same as before.

EDIT: Scooped!  Jaxom's got it right.

Love it. What green are you using for your bases please and is that sand or something else on there please? I'm planning to do the same for the Armageddon box.

The bases are Warboss Green with GW flock on top. No idea what I am going to do when my supply runs out as I don't think that they make it anymore. :ermm:

Thank you kindly, I'll see what I can hunt then. It's a shame they discontinued such products.

From what I've heard with my gaming clubs favoured FLGS in Edinburgh, they have enough to cover all their pre-orders (50+ I think) plus a couple spare for the shelf.

Indeed. I suspect it is just cheap model railway flock rebadged. There are many alternatives out there (the Woodland Scenics range is excellent), it is only a problem if I want to try and maintain a match with my existing bases.

From what I've heard it was literally just Woodland Scenics flock repackaged, so hopefully you should be able to find a match (assuming WS hasn't also changed it's recipe in the last few decades...)

Just a comment on the Studio videos they’ve done this week.

I think it’s quite refreshing to be honest. Given the past few years where they’ve been really hesitant to expose staff and some of the internal machinations, it’s good to see an openness from them. You might not like what they say or disagree with their stance, but it’s a good direction of travel for community engagement.

I found it interesting that plenty of the guest staffers refer to it as 11th Edition, but all the marketing is “the NEW edition”. Just something I noticed.

I’ve seen a few people commenting on them referencing the “customers” as if it’s a bad thing. I think actually, for any large company, for them to consider the end user, however they refer to them, is a good thing. There’s shade thrown at GW for satisfying the shareholders but actually, the product has to be designed with the customer in mind. It’s important they don’t forget that.

I think some of the disconnect comes from the fact that the vast majority of GW’s marketing and focus is primarily not the same segment of their customer base that posts on forums like this. I suspect the 3 year cycle is a direct consequence of the average customer retention period, for instance.

I’m seeing more positivity on the eve of this edition than the last, so happy wargaming everyone, however you do it.

I am not sure about that as I use Woodland Scenics for railway modelling and it is somewhat different. WS use ground up foam. GW used coloured saw dust I think.

The Outpost have emailed a bunch of people who were on their interest list to say they won't be receiving enough boxes to supply everyone on the list.

Is anyone else bothered that Armageddon got moved out of the Segmentum Solar on the latest map?

I could understand a couple of pixels like it tends to happen from edition to edition, but this latest shift is several thousand light-years to the "east".

Orky tellyportas?  Wouldn't put it past Orkimedes to move a planet!

Some of my flgs have their stock viewable online, and they still have plenty and are sloooowly ticking down. Like 1 every 10 minutes or so.

There's a few this has happened to, though from what I can see but as bad as the custodes battle group where some stores got zero. My local independent was allocated 10, with a promise of being able to order more (unsure if they will get all 10) and midfield was given 30 with 95% commitment to get another 45 but they were stiffed on the extra 45 - they might get them after GW sees what direct demand is. Not great for small stores.

i managed an order on goblin gaming, as did two of my friends.

Looks like most third parties are sold out already with ebay being chocka as always.

I did sit in the warhammer queue as well, when i eventually got into the website, no amount of refreshing would make the pre orders page load :D eventually my slot timed out lol. So glad I'd ordered elsewhere. (I was going to maybe order the book and other small bits direct)

Well, a bit sluggish on my usual go-to website, but I got a box. Can't wait for that temporary dopamine hit when it arrives.

Huff that sweet sweet Lenton industrial estate air for all is worth.

I had no problems getting through the queue on the GW site, but it seems like the order isn't going through. Hopefully just the back end being slow.

But it looks like there's still sets in stock, so maybe they did really make a huge amount this time.

darksphere and wayland still seem to have some in stock, and i've found a few off my list of smaller places with online stores that still have them. though the places with active counters has them going down quite quick (i ordered a 2nd online from somewhere that was at 90+ at 10.35 and is now at 44 - no idea how many they had in originally though)
