I really like the box tbh. Will be on my Christmas list and will either add to my Luna Wolves or be a small start point for Lamenters… an the Orks are very nice and I have no or infantry.

I’m not sure how divisive a statement this still is, but I wish they just stepped away from calling things primaris and just ignored that piece of fluff justification for a range refresh because unless the box set of intercessors is much better it’s just really limiting the design options. I don’t see how hard it is for them to just give a bit of MkIII all the way to MkX for some proper mix and match at their corrected scale. *jumps off soap box*

Two poses? You wot? My hobby knife says otherwise!

As the sprue is 10 orks + 5 grots I'm assuming/ hoping we get a multipart box separate from the core box/ combat patrol.

Conversely if that is the standard unit for now, getting essentially free grots doesn't suck.

We've had boxes of 10 Boyz for years now. If that remains the case and grots stay as units of 10 I don't think they'll box 20 boyz together as it's two units - the nobs can only be built as such. As for ages the policy is a box is a unit then it'd have to be 20 boys and 10 grots.

I think more likely this is for core set and combat patrol. (Hopefully) And that we get a different box of Boyz. The lootas/ burnas box is "sold out online"" too so I think there's interesting times ahead.

Idk how hard and fast that policy is, or it's more or less just a way for us consumers to think about it; Ripper Swarms have never been in their own box, and still aren't.  I could see Grots occupying a similar place for Orks going forward.  I think it's probably unlikely but not an impossibility.

I wouldn't put too much truck in what these Push Fit boxes have for what's going to be available going forward, anyways.  I can't imagine we get a SECOND monopose Boys kit and don't also get another MPK eventually.  GW loves supporting their edition boxes with sizable waves right afterwards, including releasing multi-part kits for the same units that were available, but not all of them.  I think Barbgaunts are just the same sprues as what was available, but the Termagants got whole new sprues, but kept the Rippers with them.

No.  The issue with the captain is it looks a bit randomly stuck on on top of each other.  Also having purity seals on the Iron Halo is silly.

That’s how I feel about old SG and DC, yet cluttered looking FB are held up as the standard ideal.

wait…do think most of 40K isn’t silly? Purity seals on the iron halo is pretty low on the silly scale for 40k

I'm also on this train of thought, but even if that doesn't turn out to be the case, the Boyz in the box are surprisingly versatile for push-fit models. Here's a (photoshopped) breakdown someone's done of the bits as deduced from the reveal pics, some assumptions included.

The heads and "backpacks" all seem to fit on any of the bodies as well, which helps with the variety too. And if GW are feeling clever, the heads and extra gubbins could also be compatible with the assumed multipart followup.

Not too long to wait and see. Boyz and grots are bread and butter so I do think we'll get the "Armageddon Boyz" in the core set and new combat patrol. With the codex I'm expecting Boyz, grots and lootas/ burnas as multipart. Beyond that I guess we'll see.

The main Termagant sprue is the same as the starter box, but they did make a weapon option sprue for them when they got their standalone box release. The Rippers were already present on the Leviathan sprue.
