New grots look pretty good, but it's looking like they're all going to be like... 3 pieces max.  I wouldn't be surprised if most of them are 1 to 2 pieces.  Just pop them out of the sprue, stick their gun+right arm on them, and slap them on a base.

It's impressive the level of detail they can get and the number of grots they'll be able to pack on a sprue that way, but I can see it leading to a lack of variety in posing.  Just between this newest guy and the one with the knife, the poses are basically the same, and you can kinda see how they're gonna work on the sprue.  They've got their left arm held straight back away from their body and a raised weapon in it so the mold can wrap around it.  The other two grots we've seen so far also share the same basic pose, just holding a gun at waist level.  I'm sure the right arm and gun are going to be one piece, most of the body the other, and we'll see that pattern repeated.

There is only so much you can expect from a push-fit starter kit, but I hope they go out on a limb for at least some of these grots and give them a little more depth.  I suspect when looking at all these models from directly head-on (something I think they've been avoiding showing in the reveals), you'll see how thin and flat they are.

The revealed Grots have made me think that if the rules for 11th are in line with what I want to play again, then I’ll probably be looking at getting in on the Ork/Grot side for once! I agree the ears should be bigger, but overall, these Grots have been awesome stuff.

I mean, this is an edition starter box, so they won't really be made for varied assembly. They'll be ETB style, one way that then depends on how many grots there are, and if its a repeated sprue. A potential future mpk would then also hold different poses from these as well.

They have better ork sculpts to show, then bland Primarinades huh? I mean... marines are nice, just the pace marines keep getting stuff makes them boring and bland to me nowdays.

Might get this box and actually toss the marines into pile of shame

Seems pretty trivial to me to swap the heads or even arms.

Wow, this one really stands out among the others. I'm no Ork fan and I don't have any attachment to the old models, but man I'm enjoying this one. Almost looks like he picked up that grenade thinking he can use it like a club and is about to blow his whole squad away.

Yeah, the power of the grot - in 3rd/4th, I had (on the receiving end both times) 3 grots kill a lictor in melee and 10 kill 6 seraphim in shooting.  Its stories like those that are one of the reasons I think GW's move away from variance in the last few editions is a mistake.

Same reason why exploding vehicles are fun, though often in a hair tearing way.

Though, to make this at least arguably on topic, I'm not sure if giving a grot a grenade is such a good idea... and I just realized B+C really needs an exploding emoji...

Anyone else want to paint Motorhead on his shirt

I think I might go for Mörkahead

A friend of mine shot a Hive Tyrant with grots back in 5th edition. Since then we have always approached them warily.

I mean,... the current grots box is not really any better -3 of them are single piece models.  I still happily have a few boxes of them though that was when they were sub £10 a box.
I wonder how well spare heads from the current grots will fit these new ones for added variety.

These guys are awesome.

Very much looking forward to the reveal stream. I know I'll enjoy the model reveals, but it is the rest of the contents I'm eager to see. And I enjoy the reveal show format for a first look over just reading the article or a potato cam quality leak.

The fridge is well stocked with beer, and I have chicken tikka masala in the slow cooker, plus some assault terminators to build for my Minotaurs project during the lead up. Think I might be doing Friday night right this week.

I'm enjoying that a few of these seem to be just as much references to Gorkamorka Rebel Grots as they are to 2nd Edition Gretchin.

I have my reserves. These lads are small green and mean which fits perfectly with what gretchins are supposed to be, yet there is something that make me uneasy. A design concept with their face that make them closer to hobgrots or kruleboyz from AoS… And I do not necesarily see this as an improvement.
‘Not my cup of tea…

This is so odd to me, comparing them to two long-faced types of greenskins, ones with barely a nose at all, and the others with long but generally very flat noses, while the Gloomspite Gitz are right there. And face-wise looking just like these to boot.
