Kinda sounds like Crusade is done.  That's a huge bummer.  The new Dominatus thing is definitely interesting, especially for shorter term type campaigns, but why not just keep the crusade stuff?

I guess the old crusade stuff doesn't necessarily go away.  Could just continue making those campaigns and either stay in 10th or play whatever ruleset you like.  Just seems weird to wholly abandon it.

The new starter Intercessors seem to have half of their legs separated above the knee. That's good, that makes de-primarising them easier.

The Orks are the first time I have really felt that a model has jumped out of video into model form.

 

They are fantastic.

Also Eradicators might just become the new Devastators?  Melta and HBolter variants now with this box, I could see them toting around 3 Lascannons or 3 Gravcannons or even 3 Plasmacannons.

 

Oh cool, also old style helmet with gravis additions too.  Very interesting!

Some pretty great reveals so far. Surprised to see the Eradicators just appear to have typical heavy bolters rather than some brand new Cawl creation that does the same thing again, and the Land Speeder is also just called a Land Speeder.

 

I think the Intercessors are quite a disappointment though.  After them going on about how they were combing the Primaris and classic armour patterns more and the Space Wolf sets that did that quite well, they've gone back more towards Primaris with adding things like the silly knee armour cover to all of them even the classic styled ones....

I don't like two things about the Librarian. I dislike the gloved hands and his chest plate looks like a one for one replica of the Terminator Librarian chest. It even has the two big nodules on both sides of his chest. The central part that replaces his Imperialis looks like it's too big for regular power armour, like they simply reused it in CAD from the Terminator design. I think the chest can be sorted out with a bit of work, but I'm not sure what to do about the gloves.

i don’t hate the space marine half, no complaints about the intercessors like some.

the VGVs could have had…more? 
bolt eradicators aren’t bad.

I don’t know if I’m late to the party, but is most of the space marine side just replacements for units we already had?

 

1. Captain with relic shield- cooler pose, but that already existed, right?

2. Primaris librarian 

3. Intercessors

4. Eradicators

5. Land speeder- has the detail of a cardboard box imo

6. Ancient

 

The only new models were the vanguard veterans and jump pack chaplain. And they are only new in the sense that they are replacing firstborn models. 

 

I am however super pumped about the Orks.

I’m not a huge fan of Marines, only the Chaplain piqued my interest.

 

The Libby really feels like a repose of Generic Goatee Librarian.

 

For me this  show embodied the ‘good guys look bland, bad guys look interesting’ cliche.

 

I know the marines are quite vanilla so that folks can paint them up for their own chapter but putting them alongside those incredibly characterful greenskins models really did them no favours.

 

I appreciate the different paint schemes.

 

I will definitely get this box just for the Orks.

 

The Dakkarig was way, way better than I had hoped. I thought it would be some skinny thing but that shooty chonky boi is ace.

I think those are (Kurrent) Kans, if you mean opposite the terminators.
