Gaganius
Ahh a glorious victory by a fellow practitioner of the black arts. Soon even Morticon and OMG will not be able to resist the allure of the BA Scout. Muhahahaha!

Lancivus
I must interrupt my GT batreps with news of a challenge. My arch-rival and very good friend Lance and I have been talking trash all morning via text messages. We were recounting last year's Ironman Tourney in Vegas (he placed second and I placed third) and whether or not our standing truly reflects our skill level or the scenarios and armies we played. My assertion is that he got a lucky draw on scenario we played and that his Archon is his crutch. He countered by claiming that my Chaplain and DC are my crutch. Consequently, I issued him a challenge. I will play in the Ironman this year sans my Chaplain (or a SHP) if he plays without his Archon
Morticon
Im seethingly jealous you guys have so many tournaments in your country. *takes out Koyotes tissues* Dude- nice job on the Iron Man. What are the restrictions you mentioned? Also- out of curiosity- in a UK GT environ where there is no painting, comp or sportsmanship - how would task force Armageddon change? If at all. Koyote
The composition guidelines for the Ironman XII can be found HERE. In 2005, first, second and third in Ironman XI were separated by a few points, so anyone who did not go into Ironman XII with the maximum comp score was taking a huge gamble. And while the top scores in Ironman XII had a larger spread, the top three armies had very strong comp scores. The second question is a good one. I have been trying to decide what my next project should be and one of my options is reworking my Angels. I've been thinking about how to make my army more competitive, particularly in lieu of the release of the new Eldar dex this month. I predict Eldar will be the fiercest and one of the most popular armies in the tournament circuit this next year and I want to be prepared. angel robertson
Eldar are going to be nasty if your a marine player cause they are pretty much taylored to take us out! Is going to have to be all about combat againts them. EVen there heavy hitting combat units can be dealt with in well placed charges by strong assault units! Bucky
As usual with Eldar I think the problem will be getting to them. I think one of the stronger Elder builds will be the all bike 3 falcon/fire prisim build. Although it will be an EXPENSIVE(money wise) army to build I think it will be VERY strong. I'm assuming the rumors of bike being troops are true.

Morticon
I honestly believe that after the US players victory at the UK GT with the Eldar skimmer list- more people will try emulate it. And considering that the eldar grav tanks are statisticallythe most difficult in the game to destroy- you're looking at a lot of trouble. In addition- (and i saw it played on sunday) the 3 fireprism list is gonna be SICK. Its gonna hurt us good. Thats why my lists have loaded up on anti-tank recently - more than anti-infantry. Lancivus
Not to be a wet blanket but whats the chance that these "Skimmer" lists will be appearing at US GT's? Call me an optimist, and I could be way wrong here but won't the threat of "comp" scoring keep them to a minimum here across the pond? :D I'm sure they will be all over the place in friendly games but at GT's you might not see as many. But from what I've seen, I'd really hate to be across from one of them, GT or friendly game... But what ya gonna do? Shoot, shoot and shoot some more till they stop moving
Steel Armadillo
Even before the dex change there seemed to be lots of eldar at the Chicago GT. I played an eldar skimmer list and could not drop those tanks to save my delicate butt. The new dex numbers look to be ready to trim marines much like some of the concern with the new Tau dex. Everyone better have a psychic hood in their marine army for tourneys to deal with the eldar wave that I belive Koyote is predicting correctly. Like the low point Inqusition, but you had better have something to slow down the space faries magic phase. Plus I think eldar have been a real "elite gamer" army not many people come into eldar and stick with it. So the people with eldar armies already have 2 or 3 others in their back pocket already. Bikes are troop choices.
Koyote
Task Force Armageddon is once again preparing for war. This time the battleground is the 2007 Las Vegas Grand Tournament. To prepare for the event I have put together a new list. This new configuration requires that I add a few new characters, a couple of new vets, a new squad, and 2 landspeeders to the Third Company. Models in the works: Inquisitior w/ psycannon (not finished, still needs a new backpack), Reclusiarch, and Sanguinary High Priest: http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/10011970/Vegas1.jpg 2 Landspeeder Tornadoes, 8M Assault Squad, Assault Marine w/ flamer, Scout Veteran Sergeant w/ power fist, and Death Company w/ power fist: http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/10011970/Vegas2.jpg

Koyote
Cool nice to see some new models for the 3rd company!! What made you decide to take an inquisitor? Very cool idea for him as well, any thoughts on his colour scheme? Ar The Inquisitor is a bit of an experiment right now. My new list originally included an Inquisitor Lord and a shooty retinue, but then after a few games, I decided that a SHP is much more useful. Reluctant to give up the emperor's tarot and the psycannon, I demoted him to an Inquisitor and dismissed his retinue. Here's a few WIP pics I took before drilling the barrels and adding the purity seals to the ammo hopper. I am still waiting for my bitz order to arrive so I can give him a proper backpack. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/10011970/I2.jpg http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/10011970/I3.jpg http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/10011970/I4.jpg
