    XIVth Legion build

    So am I back from Indiana. I have to head back to move In-Laws into a Retirement Center, in a few weeks. And of course everything goes sideways at work moment I get back. So hobby time has been non existence.     Hit the throttle on the Wreckas last week. I've been painting pretty slowly this year all things considered, decided to change that with this project. Finished up free-hand on a few items, got the squigs painted up, did the bases and oil washes last week resulting in a final project I'm pretty happy with!    I dug out some of the leftover terrain bits I had from the sector imperialis/Chalnath terrain. 1st Company of the Imperial Fists Chapter part 3- Now with Paint!

Well the next 500 points (1000 pts of HH done!) are done minus some chipping, weathering and black base rings.      Next 500 pts (1500 pts) is already started and should be done quickly but I need to double check my 2000 pt list to see what I am planning on taking. This month, October, is super busy between events on multiple weekends and working weekends when I am not "out of town". Weekend Horus Heresy Update

Horus Heresy Updates

I really have been focused on my HH Raven Guard. With the Saturnine Box I was planning on doing Deathguard with all the Mk II and Mk III's I had. League game has been delayed.  My Opponent has to work OT the next few weeks, so we are postponing it to next week. So 11 days to get models done.      Assault Squad is getting closer to being done, bases, metallics on weapons, glow effects, highlights, touch ups, decals and weathering. Got more work done Friday than planned  but got no work done yesterday like I wanted too    Going to do this in reverse.... I was on Kid Duty Saturday as wife ran errands and upon returning home she was not feeling well. So I was watching the kids and in charge of dinner. So hobby time was zero. Well I just ordered a 3rd Solar Auxilia Leman Russ So now I have 3. My League game (Round 2) is scheduled for the 4th of October so we are 11 days out.  And I need to paint 11 models, which means a model a day.  But I also want to get a start on my next 500 pts for Round 3.    Last night,  I was able to base my assault squad and then prime them Matt Black (Army Painter)     Plan is to do 1st layer of  Greys (flex armor), reds, and whites tonight.  I would have started last night but I am waiting on a new wet pallet pad so I can add

My wife and me are finally recovering from Nurgle's touch....I know we got it from the kids, who did not get sick. Stupid back to school illness.......   So Friday after work I sat down to work on my Athoria Month 2 models. I am adding Jump Centurion, another Assault squad and a Sicaran.  Part of my plan is also get Next Months additon started.    Sicaran is done and has been done since last year:   I was able to build the assault squad.

09/06 League matches for Round 2 are announced. 09/05 Painting has to be submitted to get the Point.     Seekers are awaiting weathering powders and a 2nd matt coat.    Praetor and Assault Squad are awaiting battle damage, decals, matt coat, weathering powders and 2nd matt coat.    But bases are done.        I need to build next assault squad Minus the Sgt and get them painted along with the Centurion.

Spent some time painting last night. I need to paint and apply decals on a total of 1 Character, 5 man seeker squad, and 10 man assault squad by the 29th. But looking at my schedule I have a little time on 21st, a few hours on the 22nd, the 26th, and 28th and very little on the 29th before having to pack up for the store.  Plus  I need to build my next assualt squad too.    Knowing this I needed to get the Praetor, Seekers, and Assault squad done, I began working on them
