  1. This thread is my anchor, an unbreakable chain that will forever hold me to the templars. I've watched your work on the Thunderhawk for years now. YEARS. Your commitment to projects is an absolute testament of zeal and loyalty to the hobby. Here's to the next 29 pages, may you reach 100!
  2. +++ INCOMING TRANSMISSION +++ +++ To: Chaplain-Marshal Renaud de Chatillion +++ +++ From: Marshal MacLaren | Silent Sword Crusade +++ +++ Origin: Hephastion IV | Class: Fortress World +++ The dreadnought wakes. Training of neophytes continues. Fortress world is at 75% readiness. Time dilation flux high due to great rift proximity. Titanicus assets confirmed. Faith and fire. We shall endure. +++ Thought: The Emperor is my shield, and I am his sword +++
  3. Is there no chance that Farsight Enclaves will get a supplement codex, kinda like Black Templars in relation to the SM, where we'd get rules for The Eight and some other things? Or maybe a WD issue with faction rules & units?
  4. Getting serious 40k Astra vibes from some of these stills from the new teaser for Rebel Moon.
  5. Sorry, I have had a very busy week, and weekend. Basement remodeling will do that sometimes. P.S. - You Won. ++PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD++ Congrats to URKH, with 30% of the vote which made the leading majority of the 48 votes cast. Well done, and I promise you that I will produce the banner faster than I produced the results.
  6. I will leave voting open until the end of the week and announce our victor for the People's Choice.
  7. I've created a google poll for the People's Choice award, please DM me if you have trouble with this link: https://forms.gle/HHbjdiZocGrLvWY68
  8. AH, lest I forget. I made this just for you... I leave it to you if you choose to swap this out for Oathbreaker. You swung for the fences, much akin to Icarus flying too high, but I cannot begrudge your herculean efforts to pull this off. I bequeath to you.... ++ THE ICARUS AWARD ++ For those who pledge mightily, and crash with just as much force. I have faith that your path to redemption in painting such an epic amount of models will surely be worth it tenfold when you roll out onto the tabletop with such an army.
  9. ++ Badges have been posted ++ Congrats to Lord Blackwood and Dangerman, since Lord Blackwood had the most completed points he gets the Mantle of Command for his accomplishment. Dangerman matched the same number of vows, but not the points, thus earns the Seal of Assault. Submissions for People's choice is now closed, I will gather the images provided by those who have chosen to participate and the poll will be up by Monday.
  10. Check the official Knightfall announcement post on page 1 later today for badges.
  11. ++ EPILOGUE++ Cheers to everyone for your efforts, regardless of completion or not. Let's take a collective breath and sit back while we translate back to realspace, because I can tell you right now it seems like it was November yesterday and I just blinked into another reality. I guess it's good to be busy. I'm going to be polishing the award badges today. Anyone who wants to participate in the "people's choice", shoot me a DM with a link to your image of choice that best represents your amazing efforts. Get something to me by Friday-ish, even if you are an oathbreaker! Perhaps this is your moment of redemption. New photos of completed models that were verifiably posted to the Knightfall thread are also fair game if you want to show off a BIT, ie no crazy photoshoppy backgrounds - models are the focus. Adelard and I are going to get a couple things organized for the buffet of awards many of you rightly deserve. Again, well done all, lots of great paint! Now go forth and crusade onto the table and many victories to come. edit: added info for peoples choice
  12. Our Imperial Fist brethren always run a competition, and we've always got an open invite. Think that pops up mid-year. There's always hope that ETL returns as well.
  13. ++ NEW INTEL RECIEVED ++ ++ ASTROPATHIC CHANNEL RESONANCE OPTIMAL ++ ++ IMAGE ENHANCEMENT SECURITY LEVEL OMEGA ++ A Black Templar recruitment world in the folds of a warp channel in Nachmund?!?! A CRUSADING WE SHALL GO!!!!
  14. ++ 6 Days Remain ++ Behold your badge if you cannot complete your vow.
  15. Brethren, my skills will be tested. My neophyte saw fit to raid my workbench and take the cork mounted head of the EC to some unknown location. After much interrogation it is safe to say that it is lost to the void. Time to find a suitable replacement before the end of the month. Official tallies will be updated and reveal of the failure badge will be posted tomorrow.
  16. This is awesome. Thank you for doing this. Your cogitator fu is strong.
  17. ++ Hey all, I've been working a lot of nights and haven't a lot of time to go through and update the vows, however this will be rectified shortly. Keep it up and best of luck to all your painting endeavors! ++ ...also... ++ FAILURE BANNERS WILL BE REVEALED SOON TO INSPIRE US WHO ARE DRAGGING (me included) ++ edit: spelling
  18. Serious props on that model, love seeing OG termies popping up.
  19. I'm also mulling over Neophyte conversions, but it's a tough venn diagram to hit that center point of Not Stumpy + Templar + Looks Cool. The torsos would be easy enough to chop at the waist, given BCKs depth of skillset. But what to replace it with is quite the chestnut to crack. After some thought on the matter and I actually like the idea of BloodBowl humans (Reikland Reavers - not the new human team) as Neophytes. Some gear and head swaps could make for a nice look!
  20. Black is always a tricky subject to capture on digital images. Diffused and bounce lighting are your friends, however for many who don't have their own lights for photos and are relying on phone flashes or ambient lighting, this can be hard to attain without some creativity. I have found that any piece of opaque white plexi (easy get for cheap from just about any hardware store) can be easily superglued into a miniature light box and used outdoors on a sunny day for great results. I know most don't want to go that far, but in case you wanted to know a solution to getting more painting detail from your images, there ya go.
  21. Sure, see the following two examples. I threw my back out a bit so I don't feel like picking up a crozius. The more the merrier, get painting!
