  1. I think I need to give some of my guys the red stripe in honor of your beautiful stuff! Really awesome job
  2. Go out into the wild blue yonder, young fanatic, and make it happen! If even a fraction of the quality of your sketches makes it into the HH lines I will probably go ahead and die from the gloriousness!
  3. Don't be intimidated by those jetbikes! They're a bit fiddly but the assembly is pretty easy, just remember to clean all the mold lines and flash out of the little nooks and crannies. If you find yourself unable to motivate yourself to tackle them, I find it helps to go and build something else(like those terminators). It's like a puzzle, sometimes the best thing is to focus on another thing and then come back to it with fresh eyes. This is especially true if you're gonna go build 3 squads of them Can't wait to see more! Be sure to post a pic of that terrain when you're done with it
  4. Hey there! I'm having a little skirmish match, which will by my first actual time playing 30K! The game's 1000 points(I know, maybe too small for the heresy, but the other guy only has time for a short game) and I wanted to pass my list by you guys, if it isn't too much of a bother. I felt as though neither of the RoW's were viable to play in such a small game(I'd get, what, a Jetbike Squad and an Outrider Squad?), so I'm going with the vanilla DA rules. Anyway, here's the list at current: [Legion Centurion] -Cataphractii -Terranic Greatsword [Legion Terminator Squad] -Cataphractii -Plasma Blaster -3x Combi-Plas -Chainfist -Powerfist -Pair of Claws [Legion Tac Squad] -15 man -Combat Blades -Artificer Armor & Calibanite Warblade on the Sarge [Legion Tac Squad] -13 Man -Combat Blades -Artificer Armor & Power Fist on the Sarge [sicaran Battle Tank] -Lascannon Sponsons Comes out to 1 point over 1000. General plan is for the Tacs to be big ol' meatshields while the Tank & Terminators take out whatever meaty units/tanks the other guy has. Not to say that plan is being implemented in the best possible way, however. The Terminator squad is gonna take awhile to get into CC thanks to S&P, and I'm relying on my opponent trying to focus down my squishier but more numerous units so I can get shots off with my big scary tank. The alternative option is to just run a Delegatus to get Pride of the Legion and bringing some melee vets in a drop pod and terminators in a transport, but I don't feel great about only having ~25 models in play. Sorry if some of my choices were a bit head-scratchy, like I said it's my first physical game and I'm still trying to get used to the rules. Thanks a ton for any advice you guys are willing to give, I'd really appreciate it!
  5. What? I just checked with the Lion and he said psykers are all co-I mean, psykers should not use their powers, the council of Nikea must be upheld against you sorcerous traitors! I wonder where that chaplain guy Nemiel went... I digress, there's also the point that Interromancy was developed by the Inner Circle to interrogate the Fallen, and neither of those groups(technically) exist yet. Given the Dark angels reinstated their librarius they may get a couple nifty psyker things but I kinda doubt it. Unless they make Zahariel a special character.
  6. I'm unsure about the psyker powers but the Tactical objectives should be fine if you clear it with the other guy first. As for the Nephilim/Dark Talon, they sadly are not currently available for us to use officially(like the other 40k DA stuff isn't). Maybe we'll get to use the nephilim(hoping for it to get an actual avenger bolt cannon if that's true), but personally I think it's kind of a toss up. Good news, though: If you build the flyer with the TL Lascannon and bombs it is a pretty good substitute for a Lightning Strike Fighter. It's a nifty all-around harrier and you should be able to use it in the game(the armament is the same), as always that kind of thing is up to you and your opponent, but I don't really see an argument against it.
  7. Anyway I'm honored you think my stuff is good enough to use as a baseline . I'm just kinda winging it and hoping it looks as good as everybody else's awesome stuff. As for the green, just keep an eye out for details that'll look nice. It's a tertiary color so don't feel bad if not every guy has it on him! I'll add a short tutorial along with whatever I do for my next update. It's pretty easy, enough so that I can do it!
  8. Nice to see you rockin' that Ist legion! We Primus Legionnaires gotta stick together Great job on that brass, by the way! looks nice and aged. plus you did a great job on the highlights!(better than I could've). Are you planning on doing any future robes in gray, like this fellow's hood? I don't think I've seen it done that way, but it looks really promising on this guy!
  9. I agree with Dantay; Pick the legion you like best, even if their rules aren't great, and you'll be happier for it than picking a legion you hate with awesome rules.
  10. I try my best to forget about that particular incident. Although I wonder; how do you clean up astartes viscera? did the Watchers in the Dark have to bring out the super-bleach?
  11. I take offense! "You get a star fort! And you get a star fort! Everyone gets a star fort!" Plus I like to imagine the Lion chasing Curze with the benny hill theme playing in the background.
  12. Sounds cool! I've been thinking about starting a traitor legion myself(hurr durr but DA are traitors). I need to get my army up to force first though. So, to address those options one by one: 1). I like IW too, especially with their uber-pragmatic thinking (and hazard stripes!!). My main question would be how you would feel playing with the more shooting-oriented IW as opposed to your proponence for the melee-oriented RG and SW. Not to say one cannot run melee IW; just that their unique units and rules lend themselves to massed gunlines and artillery. Might be a plus in the sense that it's a fresh playstyle or a minus in that it's a different playstyle than you want. 2). I love how the WE sculpts look. Especially those greek gladiator-style helms and chains. Kind of the opposite in regards to rules from the previous legion; they might be somewhat similar to your RG in that their shtick is overwhelming assaults, although they might be more mechanised than the assault-packing RG. As for the paint scheme you could always paint them as War hounds or halfway through the transitions to their 40k scheme. 3). Phosphex for days indeed, my friend. I'm unfamiliar as to the DG's rules, from hearsay I've heard they like lots of footslogging infantry that just drown you in grenades and bolter fire. Might be fun, but I personally am not a huge fan of that playstyle, so, like I said, not exactly able to contribute a huge amount of advice. Have either you or R2 thought about using stuff like traitor mechanicum or Solar Auxilia, or are you comitted to an opposite legion? I'd think their might be some fun stuff there, so just throwing it out(I've heard Scoria is an interesting character in particular).

  14. The renegade known as the "Choom-aid man" is a violently insane magos who bursts into rooms and bestows choom-aid upon the populace. what he looks like is unknown, as there are no known survivors to provide testimony.
