Every year the local gw does mini-gamesday and mini-demons. Since I can't go to Baltimore this year, I'll be participating the Demons at the store. Unfortunately, my large model isn't PA related so I won't be showing it, but I can show my single miniature. I just wanted some opinions on the model itself. It's just going to be a quick job to test my abilities to paint to a high standard in a short time. I plan to have him finished 100% by Thursday so I can spend Friday on touch ups on both entries. Well enjoy. C&C Oh and James, the Death Company is now 6/1/0. I made an Ork player quit in turn 2 when a 32 model mob with Ghazkull Thraka were wiped out by a DC charge. Yours is looking great by the way although I too wouldn't mind a closer look at him. How did you mount him on the base? Did you cut off the SH 'base' or embed it into the one you made? Shorts, I'm loving those Sternguard, particulalry like the pose of the Sergeant and the comms specialist. Your Chapter Master is looking good as well, although for some reason I think the storm shield looks a little too thick. That's what I was hoping to do! make you work on something! ;) I used a dremel cutting tool and a file to remove the base, then pinned him to the display and resculpted the feet and the area around them so they were even. ^_^ The base used to belong to my Sauruman on horse, and so it's hard to tell, but under the front foot is about 100% sculpted/\. ^_^ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Now all I need to do is come up with a suitable new one for him. Also the Ultramarines shoulder pad buried in the mud is a nice addition as well. I also like the addition of the bevor, changes the mini enough for him to not be 'a space hulk terminator on a display base'. One of the things I wish I had was somewhere to go to speak to people about this hobby. Don't get me wrong the B&C and IBH forums are great but sometimes you just want to sit down (or stand up) and actually chat to someone face to face... unfortunately there's no one I know who's into 40K locally (ie within walking distance or a short drive) apart from my brother B) James Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I agree James, luckily, GW is 45 minutes away one direction, and Reaper HQ is 45 minutes in almost the same direction. They're only 20 minutes apart so I have a pretty decent community within an hours drive. He took Silver in the large, the Terminator took Gold and Sword! The prince got beat by a good friends amazing Deff Dread model.
