heres a little picture of my Marines privious to the creation of the Eagles Eternal. once i finish working on the models ive bought, ill remove the paint and make them into Eagles. at least the UltraMarines (the space wolves probably woulnt be convertable.

so ive got (in squads of 9 for some reason? im missing quite a few models) 4 squads of ultramarines, one squad of snake marines (my first DIY) a squad of gray hunters, 2 squads of blood claws. some unpainted vanguard, 2 5 man terminators, some 13th company, and 10 wulfin. blood claw assault squad, ultramarine assault squad.

 

ive got alot of work to do now, bye.

thats right, Second Companys Seventh Squad. These fly boys have been WIP for at least three years, so im glad that i finaly could get to putting some green stuff on them. i have a theroy that if i make the base's pure rubble, (and a deicent amount of build up) and then put the Marines on angles, it can create a more dynamic look.

i plan to put him on his base roughly level with the picture. im hoping it looks like hes coming in for a landing with his feet out front a little, where he will then have to run forward a few steps to ease his impact. also hes burning things up, which is pretty cool.

i got an early christmas gift from my wife, its a display case for my armys. im using it right now to display my compleeted Eagles, as well as to clear off some of my table from my older army.

That is the most amazing display of an army I have seen in a long time! Great work on the greenstuffing so far, sorry that I was idle in looking at your thread, have been sick or busy lately <_<. So far I have turned my back on the Emperor and joined the Night Lords (thanks to my girlffriend who is an amazing Night Lords player!) and I have to say that this christmas will be filled with the pre ehresy sons of nostramo! how have youre holidays been? any good resolutions? ive resloved to get more done with my Chapter, and ive started by finaly finishing the base for my chaplain. i then realised that i had not painted the cord around his leg, so i got that done too. heres a few pictures of that.

ive also been working on my second Tactical Squad (squad 4 as it happens to be) there coming along nicely, but because they are just more Marines, ill keep it short and just show you the Heavy Weapon.

Somthing else I forgot to mention siting on my workshop, is a black Templar "Emperors Champion". I've yet to decide what I should have him count as in game. The first option that came to mind was obviously a chapter champion. But that seems like an easy way out. And I doubt I get to use that much. Also the Honour guards purpose of slaughtering terminators before they can strike no longer works.

 

The other option I'm thinking is scult some fire coming out of his fist and possibly some other locations and convert myself a Psyker.

 

If anyone wants to vote that would be cool

now im upset that ive already posistioned the arms, because i started cutting up my bolters to make the Combi, and the hand grip is now higher than it was before, so now it doesnt fit in the hands. heres a picture of it, it still needs to be filled in and cleaned up with GS(literaly just made it) ive got at least 5 more to make for this 10 man squad. i feel bad that im hacking up the FW bolters that i paid so much for

The site was down while i was trying to figure out how i should do the flames. now that the sites back ive seen a few differnt ways to do it, and im wondering if i can do it better now. what are youre thoughts on it?

well, ive been going really slow lately, but now its time that i get working hard again. to keep myself on track, im going to use a simple tactic that ive been working on since about half waythough this sentence. i will now explain the steps of my half baked plan to you.

 

Step one

im going to post updates at least once a week, with a deadline of....say, sunday night?

 

step two

i will not play any video games, or board games if i have not made my weekly update (which starts sunday)

 

step three

if i cant play my video games, ill be forced to do more work on my models... thus, i will either do one of two to three things. ill either go insane, or make amazing progress on my models(possibly only every other week)

 

the third possibilty is ill cheat and play video games.... "shrug"

 

Step four

take pictures of my progress for posting on sundays. should i be late on my sunday post, i cant play till i post for that week.

 

Step five

Use youre comments and feedback to keep my motovation up, like fuel for my inspiration. :D

 

 

now i know its monday, but i just came up with this, so im going to make my post today. i dont know how much of this ive really posted before, but ive made alot of progress on these guys, so i figured i would post it up anyway.

its a Ten Man squad, but the rest of the boy's arnt really going to be anything new, so ill spare them from you for now. you probably notice the tape ive got keeping them on their base's. my painting style for the base's involves alot of drybrushing, and i like to really speed paint the base coat on to my minis, so i have to paint the two seperatly. im trying to experiment with how to prop them up and get a good coverage on them. if any one can give me some suggestions, i would really appreciate it.

 

one last thing to present to you guys, this is whats been taking me so long to get anything really good going. ive been pondering along time about how my Chapter Badge looks, and ive decided to really throw down the gauntlet and give it my all. heres two shoulders in varrious stages of completion.

Wicced - I see what you mean, I'll see what I can do about it. I'm afraid I may have to leave it as is. I had to modify the hands to hold the custom combi-bolters I made. It may look better at a different angle or with the bolter in hand. Thanks for the point out though, I will investigate further into this.

 

To add to my earlyer question, is there anything else that you would like to see Green stuffed onto these veterans?
