Lovely khornminators! I especially like the reaper autocannon, I'm a bit jealous of that one!

a few more gubbins and it'll be done. Pretty pleased with it myself. He looks like a bad ass. Eventually going to do a couple units of Berserkers - from salvaging old minis- (or one really big one) so that should be fun. I ended up with like 80 poorly painted Berserkers a while back as "free" minis.

Tim the Sorcerer is looking swee-heet!

Where's that staff from?

It came with him.  https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/The-Deathmages-Necromancer-2016

He's going to be fun to finish up. Right now I'm hip deep in converting footsoldiers, but should break out the greenstuff this weekend.  I enjoy playing my Raptor Marines, but it feels SO good to be doing Chaos again. :)

Some progress on the endless construction of Renegades. OH the pinning, glueing, scraping, filing.... ugh.  Bunch of aftermarket stuff from Anvil. I'm loving their "ballistic mask" heads ("Jason!?!? Is that you?") though and I'm trying to envision how to paint them.  I've got more heads and arms to finish up the rank and file. I ended up with way more footsoldiers than I though.  Here's some of the conversions so you can get an idea about the look of the guys...

I always mix the wrong amount of greenstuff, so I try to keep a Spawn on hand. This little guy got some tentacles... or dreadlocks.. or dreadacles.  I'll layer some more on and see where it goes. I have to admit to seldom planning these guys out. Its a bit more spontanious.

Also took some new pics of my Commander for the Renegade army.  Or at least one of them.

Excellent works, and I love the spawn-eye. Funny thing is, I'm planning a three-headed -all one-eyed- Nurgle Daemon Prince with a similar technique. Your Blinky must've subconsciously inspired me.

W-what?!?! 3 heads? One eye? You have my attention!

I think he means 3 cyclopic heads.

Also, when are we going to see some paint on Darrell, Cletus, and Eugene? Those guys were fantastic builds back in 2013 and you never finished them. Now that Ms. CHarlotte, who you started right after them, is finished, they deserve some love. I know you already started painting them, as I saw some painted WIPs here in this here thread a couple years back....

OH, that guy is AWESOME! Augustus!  Love him!

I'm trying to get built what I can build right now. Doing hobby work in between/on breaks from artwork I have to get done.  But I'm hoping to get back to painting Sunday or so. Funny that you mention them....those 3 are on my painting tray right now.

I've gone with the ballistic masks on a lot of my traitor infantry, so I messed around with some markings in Photoshop. The idea would be things that are painted on by hand (literally) Not sure I want the White Hand of Sauromon, but somthgin along those lines.  I figure I'd vary it for units or individual. I figure red or white over the olive/grey masks would be good. Though I guess yellow wouldn't be bad either.  Any commentary, suggestions is welcome.

Maybe a variation on the Hand of Saruman could be something like warpaint on Wes Studi's Pawnee from Dances With Wolves?

I always thought it looked a bit fearsome. But then again, Wes Studi is also one scary-looking mofo.

I was thinking of some stuff like that! With the Olive drab background, do you think black would be good as well?  I think it would probably show up pretty good.

FWIW, I met Wes Studi once. Very warm guy with a good sense of humor, at least that was the impression I got from a few minutes of interaction.

Contrast is always a good thing on decorations like that, so black or another dark color would definitely work well.

I did a quick test and the black does contrast on the olive brown. I think I might use the colors to differentiate squads. I didn't intend on the Native American thing, but after doing some quick image searches, its an angle I may pursue.... but with a Chaos slant. :)

Whitling away at the Traitor Guard Army.  I put them all on the Desk (in various states of construction/painting) to see how big it is. I suprised myself.

This doesn't include 30 cultists I can use as conscripts. Plus I have Other units planned: Ogryn, Priests, Crusaders, 2 Valkyries and @7-8 other vehicle conversions, a couple of which will be multi-role platforms...i.e, change the turret it becomes something else. Right now I'm waiting on a mail order to finish up the rank and file.  In the meantime.... a break from the monotony of building to paint these guys...... because I know Augustus has been waiting. :)

AND.... in the Old mini/new picture file..... Ms. Blinky.
