Ah, I know exactly where you are coming from geektom, did a similar "hack job" on the biker chaplain I'm working on, and fixing all the gaps is a pain in the butt so far. Check your inbox in a minute, I'm gonna send you some links to stuff that might help you out.

You are the best, Chaplain-- thanks again!

You are absolutely welcome, happy to help!

okay!

Still have some filing and cleaning to do, but the main modeling is done. C/C welcome as always!

Special thanks to The_Chaplain who provided some critical feedback!

Introducing, Brother Chaplain Ko'soro Mai, spiritual leader of the Storm Brother's 2nd Brotherhood:

That turned out very well! I don't think I've seen your mad green stuff skills yet. Impressed with the robes. Great kit bashing too.

My only very minor suggestion would be to cram some GS behind the winged skull icons on the cowling, to make them sturdier. Just squish a sausage back there and square it off with the icon so it goes straight back into it. Does that make sense? If you've ever worked with 3D software, think of "extruding" the shape behind. It's only noticeable from straight down the front anyway, but still.

Wow, that chaplain is looking quite marvelous! How did you do the servo skull?

It is a random bit I have lying around. The wires aren't quite long enough to give the illusion it is plugged into both the bike and the Chaplain (which is what I want), but I have some GS "wires" drying that should do the trick- then I will just have to get the exact placement so it balances out the model and looks like it belongs...

Do you think it is overkill?

Overkill almost never applies in our world. 40k is all about taking things to their logical extreme. :D

In all seriousness, though, no. I think it's just the right amount of detail.

EDIT: Holy cow! I just noticed the grav gun! Brilliant.

Very nice!

Interesting choice on the bone gauntlet fingers too.

Thanks! It was a spur of the moment decision, but I like how it is coming out.

He looks great! Wait… Did you totally disregard my advice on the GS around the winged skulls? You dog… ;)

No way, amigo- it was brilliant advice and I absolutely did it.

I am personally not a stickler at all for the "Codex" coloration of units. I prefer a story/reason behind why they don't use the standard panoply, but it seems good enough to me that "they use super-dark purple instead because purple is already a color for their armor."
