A dragon head? You know, now that I think of it... I don't know squat about your chapter's fluff. Do you have an IA started?

Sorry, Jeff- what is an "IA"? Index Astartes? What would that look like for a DIY chapter? Icons, markings, sgt. colors, etc?

. That's part of it, yes. The liber astartes forum is full of IA articles submitted by forum members.

What Chaplain said, man. Yeah. I highly suggest reading some to get a feel for what they contain. I've got one (link in the sig) and so do lots of others. They're pretty fun to write.

Wow, Jeff- just read yours. Very impressive!

Now ism intimidated, though- some of the IA's are crazy detailed... I don't know enough 40k history to even get started!

I sort of figured it out with the second hint.

I can't take any credit for the design, I just followed the tutorial over at From The Warp: http://fromthewarp.blogspot.com/2010/02/how-to-all-plastic-pre-heresy-imperial.html

I know. Sort of why I figured it out from just the second clue. :P

Now tha I have proven once again I am terrible at keeping things under wraps, here is a real WIP pic:

This will be my Commander (Khan) and the idea was that the jet bike was Chapter founding gift (anothef reason to do the IA, right?)

Ok, almost fully assembled- just a couple of GS spots to fill in, and something to bulk up his waist:

Commander Brother Temulin Khan (Khor'sarro Khan) on jet bike (Moondragon) and power lance (Moonfang)

C/C welcome as always! Did I push it too far this time?

Nicely done! Good use of bitz to convey movement too. I'm guessing there'll be a flagpole in the slot behind him?

Nitpick: bolters slightly out of alignment. Looks like an easy fix though.

Did you put spacers in the arms because the pose required it, or did you just want slightly longer arms?

Thanks!

The space behind him is for the horse tail that all of my bikes will have. Keeps the theme, and also conveys movement, IMO.

I put the spacers in the arms because the bigger, decorated torso (from the Sternguard box) pushed him too far back to grip the handlebars. I also had to shave the back seat to make room for the backpack for the same reason.

The bolters are actually driving me a little batty- the metal fascia is not cast quite right so I am having a heck of a time lining them up. Grr!

Interesting. Very interesting...

Dang, that is a sweet bike.:D

I also like the lance. My favourite bit might be the jagged spike on the bottom, though. Looks good!

Thanks, Ace- sometimes those little details are the most fun!
