Barabbas Sogalon
What's wrong with a little snow during the winter? Good use of the mk III command body. When do we get to see the shoulder pads? Flint13
Haha, you loathe snow... It's seriously my favorite thing about the winter months. But hey, we bond on Demon's Souls, so we'll call it even ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/285403-the-bonds-of-brotherhood-update-moritat/page/8/#findComment-3593818 Share on other sites
Larkyn
Pretty soon, I'm working on finishing Vanya now, as well as working on a test model for the new project. I'll certainly wash a handful tonight, and get them glued on. Maybe even prime the models tonight, finally. And, as proof that I'm working: Vanya and Test, WIP: http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss32/Hellghast/DSCN1618_zps05c52601.jpg http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss32/Hellghast/DSCN1617_zpsfc11f9ad.jpg http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss32/Hellghast/DSCN1616_zps4db427c4.jpg http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss32/Hellghast/DSCN1619_zps8f94d8a3.jpg http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss32/Hellghast/DSCN1620_zps40e629fd.jpg http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss32/Hellghast/DSCN1621_zps9b32dbc6.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/285403-the-bonds-of-brotherhood-update-moritat/page/8/#findComment-3593819 Share on other sites

Forté
Tiny tip if you're using Photoshop to add lettering. Stroke adds a nice outline and drop shadow or outer glow make the lettering stand out that bit more. Lovely valentine though. Larkyn
I used Paint. Plain old Microsoft Paint. I'd love to get Photoshop, but pirating is not my thing, and it's WAAAAAY too expensive. Larkyn
Well, getting stood up sucks, but coming home to find this in the mail was awesome. http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss32/Hellghast/DSCN1626_zps43b6775e.jpg Oh yes, that's a blister of Rogue Trader minis. I was specifically looks for the older brother of this guy: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Images/Product/AlternativeFW/xlarge/champandmos2.jpg But the rest are awesome too. Larkyn
So, my three day weekend has begun. I started it off by organizing each project I've been working on. Text dumps and image references/inspiration have gone into respective folders by Legion number, and I began the monumental task of writing up lists based on each project's theme. Just as a reference, I'm putting the various projects here, as a sorta spoiler. VI: Murder-Make Warpack, under the command of Jarl Asbjorn Bloodmaw VII: 293rd Company, under the command of Centurion Castor Melanthios VIII: 100th Company, under the command of Captain Marek Vanya XI: 18th Company, under the command of Centurion Saul Mithra XII: 43rd Maniple, under the command of Blooded-Captain Sandor Kerr XIII: First Company, 1st Chapter, under the command of Marius Gage XX: Theta-Four Cerberus, under the command of Alpharius Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/285403-the-bonds-of-brotherhood-update-moritat/page/8/#findComment-3595667 Share on other sites
Larkyn
Well, I've gone and done it now... Stopped by my LGS today to have a chat about some Knights. Left with a few boxes to start on ANOTHER Legion project. Now to start assembling... EDIT: The Vaunted First Legion come to play. "Little Night Lords, watch out, the First has come for YOU!" Counts-as Cataphractii. I wanted the shields so badly, but the Legion list doesn't have them. So, the shields count them as Cataphractii armour. I have some volkite chargers to add to their waists as well, I just need to wash them. "Come at me, Bro!" Sergeant: http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss32/Hellghast/DSCN1627_zps7b6b03a8.jpg "Frak! My hood's in mah darning eyes again! How am I gonna aim this plasma blaster?!" http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss32/Hellghast/DSCN1630_zps6abf23a2.jpg "Swords and shields win the day." http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss32/Hellghast/DSCN1629_zpsc4f94b2f.jpg "Wolverine? Larkyn
Heard from Chessex today. Larkyn
*Sigh* Guys, what am I doing? Why, oh why did I have to go and paint up this color scheme? Probably my least favorite Legion, but I just felt the need to try it out. I mean, all that praying...all the papers and book burning...and then getting shamed by the Emperor and Papa Smurf. Good thing they got revenge... http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss32/Hellghast/DSCN1632_zps647f000f.jpg http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss32/Hellghast/DSCN1633_zpsbd8fd7b1.jpg http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss32/Hellghast/DSCN1634_zps4fd6b7d4.jpg http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss32/Hellghast/DSCN1635_zpsb34beee7.jpg I don't know if this will go anywhere, I doubt it. infyrana
Very sweet... if it wasn't for the horrid thought of having lots of figure models at that scale to paint, I'd have totally gone that scale for tank warfare, those raiders are so cute ! I'd trade them all for one Spartan and a Proteus right now though :D Very nice horde you have there! Larkyn
Yeah...Painting that HUGE amount of stuff isn't going to be easy. But, it might, since they're so small. That collection began in 2006, June, to be exact. My former best friend and I decided to start up Epic as our Summer Project. I chose Guard, he chose Marines. We started pretty small, I picked up a Guard infantry box, a Leman Russ squadron box, some storm troopers and the arty box. Still came to a pretty penny. He chose the SMurf company, rhinos, land raiders, and vindicators. After a few games, we came to realize it was one of the best games GW has ever made. But then summer ended, school began again, and we didn't play Epic nearly as much as we played 40k. After shelving the armies for a while, but keeping up with the rules releases, I eventually bought the Marine contingent off of my friend. Then came the info that GW was canning the specialist games. I must have spent nearly a grand on Epic models. It was definitely at least $600. Even though no one around here plays Epic, the models are fantastic for their scale, the metal rhinos and land raiders look EXACTLY like their 40k counterparts, except smaller. I had always intended to start up an Epic league at my LGS, but have never gotten around to it. But now, I think I will. The Heresy bug has bitten me, and bitten me hard. I can only think of a few themes that I would want to theme a campaign, and my armies around, and the one I have in mind pits two Legions against each other: one is my least favorite, and the second is one most people dislike the 40k counterpart to, but I think really like the 30k version. The Battle of Calth. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/285403-the-bonds-of-brotherhood-update-moritat/page/8/#findComment-3602756 Share on other sites
