To make him a bit different to my other priests I think I'll put in him camo :D

Time is sadly quite short currently so most of my hobby plans are moving very slowly. Plan is still to get the Bullgryns done then move on to Scions but at the rate I'm going I may as well focus on building the models so I'm ready for the ETL...

I know the feeling with metal models. After my latest additions I've been bending around 30 lasguns back into position

 

That latest priest looks a good model, which is it?

"Priest with sword", he's an older model I got him with the Made to Order purchases a little while back :)

Progress is... slow.

Once I get a few more colours on before the wash that will change as he'll be about done then. I'd only need to pick out some details and do the camo then all of a sudden he'll only need the base :) So I should get him done this weekend ok, just in time to complete for phase 2 of Cleansing of Ioria!

Thanks guys I got him on a whim as I was ordering some Made to Order but now I've painted him up I can really see what a great model he is

 

On another whim I wrote a Cadian Battle Group list that needs 10 Scions, so I better get my Bullgryns sorted soon so I can start on them!

Your camo always looks so good on large areas of cloth (commissar coats, that priest's robes, etc).

Got a start on my final Ioria vow:

Getting him primed and a bit of base coating isn't bad for an evening, I'll see what other basic layers I can get done tomorrow evening. Hopefully that'll set me up nicely to finish on Sunday

The camo on the priest is great :) ... at first I thought it was a dodgy cast but once I looked properly, it was obviously camo :D ... nicely done.

I did the rest of the model today, so not bad going:

It was different to do a more official scheme but it works quite well. The white has an attempt at some layers but the main thing is it offsets the large quantity of off-black and red. That's it for my Guard for now, but I'm sure I'll be returning to some outstanding projects a bit later in the year ;)

Is the beret guy a commissar? If so, it is refreshing to see a different take on the role... the beret looks very cool :) Nice paint :) .

Thanks, he is a commissar - but the new plastic model's hat is severely oversized so just doesn't work. I have all these spare heads from the Scion kits so they're finding good use :P It wasn't too much work to swap them out fortunately :)
