The New HH Box (Highly Likely to be Prospero) - Happy?

Aun HelWintur, Ogvai Helmshrot, and Amlohdi Skarssensson would all make solid choices.  They've got important places within the legion as of Prospero and they continue to hold those offices through the war.  Gunn and Wyrdmake do both die reasonably early, but we've got a Ferrus Manus model so who knows?

Does Skarssensson survive Prospero? Last time I can remember him featuring was during the 'Wolves get massacred' montages in ATS, where he was having a bad time under psychic assault. Has he appeared since? Kinda hope so, he has possibly my favourite name in the Heresy.

Guys, I really don't think it matters if the new set is "marked" or not and it wont matter either way as long as the models are not press fit single molds like DV units are. If the shoulder pads are marked it's easy enough to get access to MKII or III shoulder pads (whichever they are going to be).

I wouldn't be surprised if it was the Characters only that had markings on them.

The mkIII space wolf corpse was easily identifiable through his diamond-shaped gem on the torso, so it could indicate that not only the shoulder pads would be marked.

In any case, it isn't actually that easy to find blank mkII/III pads, especially not in plastic - you'd have to go to bitz sellers to get resin ones, or else GW would have to release a blank pad box set - which would be just as annoying. In any case, even if it were easy to get hold of, it's still an extra cost (going by FW prices, 10£ for 10 pads), so you'd be adding on potentially 30£ over the 100£ or so of the box. And then, you'd still have 30 marked TS and SW pads that are useless to most people.

So I disagree with everything you said apart from the not wanting push-fit kits. Even then, I'd rather generic push-fits to half a box of thousand sons bits I won't ever use, and half a box of space wolf kits that will take a deal of converting to either become Iron Warriors or Chaos Shadow Wolves...

Must say it will be a disappointment to me if this new box comes with just MkIII armor and tartaros terminators. We don't need more armor types, we need more unit types. I'm at least hoping for some plastic assault marines.

But we do need more armour types as well, at least for those that don't particularly like mkIV

I do think that alternative unit types would be mooore than welcome smile.png

Lord Thorn, regarding the pads, maybe you can find blank ones from other fraters that bouht legion-specific ones and have some spare ones, and trade the legion specific bits, I'm positive there are plenty of TS and SW fraters that would be more than glad to rid you of them :D

Just giving ideas in the case everything is specific, though I think and hope it won't be.

I really don't think that a diamond-shaped gem in the middle of a chestplate is enough to identify a Legion. If that is the direction they go in, though, and they are on every model in the box - I can work with it.

It's obvious it's a SW it even has a TS standing on top of him.

Now someone around here said something about Custodes character. My oh my. That would be precious.

Would not mind a SW Char, usually the bits are nice for characters I like to do.

As long as the main bulk is generic. But makes you wonder with Sisters and Custodes.

Maybe GW is taking over HH and GW will focus on specialist games?

Now if they had 40k rules ;)

They saw some action on the beast Arises setting

Personally, I'd like for the new box to contain generic armor, in different patterns to what we got in BaC. Having Tartaros armor and MkIII power armor would be a real bonus. Maybe even some MKII-IV assault/tactical marines would be really great.

I'm really aching for some heresy assault marines in plastic...

Crap.

The Custodes mean either a higher price or less marines.

I was so hoping they werent there

I kinda have a feeling they'll have an equivalent place to the Contemptor in the original set.

I'm also very afraid of the rules they'll get in WD. Says it has rules for using them in the Age of Darkness. Hopefully the FW rules team wrote them, otherwise...

Sigh... And I told myself I wasn't going to buy a box. So box contents looks to be;

Space Wolves Termi Lord

10 Mk3 Marines

5 Custodes

Ahriman

10 Mk3 Marines

5 Tartorus Terminators

At the bare minimum.

We know from reliable sources there are some Silent Sisters In the box too so presumably we'll see more stuff for the 1k sons too.

I doubt it. If there were Sisters of Silence in the box I'd expect them to be on the cover too alongside the Custodes. It's possible obviously, but I'm always skeptical of rumors until we get pictures.

Did they spell board game wrong?

I swear I make out a 'BORED' there on the bottom of the cover.

It's BOXED. ;)

What are the models above the custodes underneath the white dwarf logo?

Probably Space Wolves (most likely) or Sisters of Silence.

Judging by the stance, and the thickness of the legs I'd say it's MK III Space Wolves.

hahaha, aint that the truth.

the Wolf pictured has to be in power armor of some type. The base size is too small to be 40mm.

Dual claws could be Bjorn! That would make me weep school girl tears
