There hasn't been much progress because of work and college but I have managed to acquire Betrayal at Calth. 20 of the marines will be made into tacticals, but I'm having trouble deciding on the last 10. Any suggestions?

I can't seem to get at my gallery at the moment (not sure if it's me or the site) but there has been progress, I'm currently building a tactical squad and will be shortly moving on to another, after that I'm going to tackle the terminators.

Maybe make a 10 man legion Seeker squad, fits the AL background.

I have five already and will probably be able to scrounge another 5, I picked up a squad of kataphrons to convert to quad mortars so the spare marines will be used as crew.

 

I also picked up a predator, which I will convert to an executioner using parts from the LR Demolisher kit.

Updates are few and for between at the moment unfortunately, I have managed to build another tactical squad though. I don't know how to equip the sergeant, power axe or maybe a power fist and dagger?

Here's my version of Dynat converted from the BaC Chaplain. And also a quad mortar battery built from the Kataphron servitors and plenty of spare guard bits:

Here's a contemptor mortis I converted from the plastic BaC dreadnought, the left leg has been reposed to be flat on the ground and the dread was cut at the waist in order to repose it:

 

The cannon on the predator is from the Leman Russ executioner while the heavy bolter is from the land speeder storm:

I know it's been a while since I last posted but just a quick update. I've ordered a recon squad, an autocannon squad and 5 marines with jump packs (to make either furies or locutarus) in the Anvil sale. I should get a good bit of work done on the army in the coming weeks.

I know its been ages since I updated the thread (real life happened and I had difficulty getting photos to upload).

 

Anyway here's a WIP shot of my kitbashed executioner pred, which has since been finished, I'll see if I can get the final photo up later.

Operational Status: Active

Commanding Officer: Strike Leader "Sylas 9-15"

 

Modus Operandi: This Harrow Cell has carried out multiple rapid strike and harassment actions against imperial forces, most notably several actions which crippled veteran elements of the Imperial Fists legion rushing to relieve the Blood Angels under assault from elements of the 3rd. 

 

Notable Crusade era actions: Decimation of human population on 84-16 even after they had surrendered to Imperial forces. Destabilisation of several planetary regimes in Ultramar after a XIII Legion centurion called their tactics "dishonourable and cowardly", said centurion later perished in a "friendly fire" incident.

 

Notable Heresy era actions (ongoing): Destruction of 2 forge worlds supplying loyalist legions with armour and weapons. Aforementioned crippling of VII Legion veteran elements. Terrorising and destabilising of planetary societies in Ultramar alongside destruction of several Ultramarines garrisons.

 

Preferred strategic tendencies: Despite the flexibility doctrine The Silent Knife has demonstrated a marked preference for the "Coils" assault pattern. 

 

Allegiance: Due to the aforementioned actions, allegiance is categorised as Alpha.

 

Recommendation: Target and eliminate with extreme prejudice.

Given how slow the progress has been on the Alpha Legion overall, I'm going to change this thread to be a general heresy project log, expect updates for my Iron Hands and Imperial Militia here now too, that way I can hopefully update more regularly as I switch between projects. 

 

So to start the ball rolling on the new thread: 

 

Here's a discipline master I made up for my militia. He's basically straight out of the plastic storm trooper box with the exception of the head which is from Anvil's Trench Officer head sprue. I'll be running these guys using survivors of the dark age and warrior elite, with lasrifles on the grenadier squads (more of them later). 

 

The force commander is Coteaz with a vanguard vet power axe and another head from the trench officer sprue.
