Looks good Morovir!

As to the broodlord, he's either in the factory hospital "death room" where the worst injured are sent,  or the morgue, down under the rooms in the basement somewhere where the water pumps are or the vents or fans, the infrastructure - can't be the boiler room or crematorium, too hot OR he's in the damn servitor conversion room, where the Fabrica lads make the servitors and toss out the dead 'uns.

We might be able to pin him in place with a diversionary attack, one close enough, but not too close to make him slink in his hole, feel safe enough there.  Might draw off any scumbags, if we sent a scout team in to have a looksee, they might actually LEAD us to it - if not the Broodlord, at least a Rebel Leader who Steel can dunk into promethium until he talks.

MR.

Why waste the good promethium? There are more basic ways of getting someone to talk... though CM might find them a bit graphic and disturbing to post....:ph34r.:

As per CM's page 40 post:

By this time, you have tactical overlays and strategic dispositions overlaid on your helm-visors. You see what a task this is; Fabrica is home to all manner of factorie, grain refineries, abattoirs, warehouses, granaries and processing plants.

Emphasis is mine there, my thoughts (not Tyber's) would be either in or below an abattoir.

Cold.  Check.

Dying screams (of animals) check.

Sound of machinery. Check.

Good job Steel.

EDIT: I've set you up brother, knock it in.

So it seems we're in for a Meat Locker fight eh?

Predator 2.

Seems he has a passion for beef.

MR.

Now, that you mention that..... and looking at this chapter's updated title....

you might be on to something here....

If this turns out like Slaughterhouse III, there'll be some lamenting...

At first I thought you meant the band, then I was like  d'oh! :wink.:

We need to think of some great one liners:

"Hey Broodlord, we got a beef with you."

"Hey Alien, looks like you're for the chop."

"We got a bone to pick with you."

(Yes I am reading those in Arnie's voice)

In sincerity, we could do with finding the main sewer tunnel out of the abattoir and plugging it with a few mines/grenades/marines...before we kick the doors in.

"You are one ugly mother*$"£@#!"

"It can see the lights! It can see the lights!"

Now I need to watch Predator 2 again.

To paraphrase my absolute favourite bit of that movie:

Killteam Blackthorn thunders in as the Broodlord bursts through a worker-menial's grubby single room apartment.  Brick dust coats the fleeing alien, who wounded, leads our brave heroes onwards, ignoring the unarmed civilian for sport perhaps.  It flees to another rooftop as the Marines break in through the wall after it.

+Calm yourself citizen, we are the Deathwatch+ Vaidan intones, his attempt at being both noble and reassuring reduced somewhat as he lays eyes on the elderly female menial, for her part casually puffing on a lho stick.

"I don't think he gives a *&^%" She says as they thunder through her apartment, giving chase.  Tyber at least closes the door on his way out.  It is the only part of the hab that still stands.

MR.

Nicely done. Narratively I would prefer you to delete #991 (or at least the bits regarding talking to the guard.) Mazer, if you could eliminate the references neatly that would be appreciated...

Updated. I'm not going to provide you with a map of the slaughterhouse and its relationship with guard towers, walls and the like - one way or the other, the Kill-Team will quickly breach and be inside, allowing me to move forward. My thoughts are that the Kill-Team would step to one side and strategise; feel free to communicate over closed vox or to discuss with the mortals should you wish.

Reyner and Dosjetka:

Once you have spent your initial 1000xp, you will then have another 4,000xp to spend. This will bring you 1xp into Rank 2 after all you have spent - so all your upgrades need to come from the rank 1 of your specialism, or from the general tables in Xenomortis / statline increases in the DW rulebook.

You will also have 30 requisition each, so please start having a look at what you could spend it on.

My armour will not tolerate a stealth infiltration.

I will lead a distraction force of PDF on the side away from the sewers and buy you all time.  Since we can't flatten the bloody place with Medusae, we'll have to do it the old fashioned way.  If I show myself enough, the enemy may well believe we are there, and try to escape or come to meet us, I'll have lots of bayonets ready.

Either way, the tunnel fighting will be bloody and you will need every bolt round and swordpoint.

MR.

Tyber doesn't want to go through the sewers, he's big and bulky and thinking that there will not be enough room.... he'd rather charge 2-12 through a wall into the building and assault from there.

Edit:

As an example:

The scope that Atratus uses, while not a full auspex, can let him act as a spotter for the team in more closed-in environments - he'll be able to identify targets through walls and doors and behind corners for the rest of the squad to target.

Very well, Steel I will allow you to share my glorious and heroic death.

How about you form an Iron Fist Squad in 2-12 with some of the better human troops then?  I will hold with the PDF, when we thin them out a bit, the 2-12 goes in with your mob inside it, a counter-attacking punch if you will. We have to draw the battle out as much as we can unless everyone wants to go for the throat.

If you're lucky you can fight some Stealers! How about it? :happy.:

We do have a couple of sneaky-sneaks as well...

I do envy your scope AT.    I believe Solastion's helm also functions as Preysight?

We should make sure to cover the exits.

Guess Sabaan is going with the sewer team - Augur Array and exceptional bionic eye will be handy there and there is a Omnispex to spare. Bolter sand servoarm have so far served him well.

On a side note... Why does nobody seem surprised in that video?! There is a bloody tank crashing through a wall ?!

I think it was a staged event Xin, going by the fact that people had camera phones ready and there were tv cams set up for the filming of it.

@MR:

I like it, I think Tyber could do just that, just need some solid PDF troopers that are willing to follow an Astartes into the jaws of hell.:biggrin.:
