Okay rules-smiths, I'm looking for suggestions on what to spend my 500XP on from General, Deathwatch, Tactical or Storm Sons upgrades. I was thinking about taking Tracking but I'm open. My only request is that you make your suggestions on what you think would work best narratively for me, rather than something that gives me an unfair advantage (i.e, Meditation).

 

Thoughts?

I'll see what I can come up with a little later... I'll have suggestions either later today or tomorrow.

Since my boy wanted to watch some Power Rangers Dino Charge, I've had a chance to look over a few tables and write ups, so my suggestions are as follows:

 

Suggestions for Sabaan:

 

The Flesh is weak 2 (500); Iron Hands table

Tech Use +10 (400); Iron Hands table

Autosanguine (500); Techmarine table

 

 

Suggestions for Greysight:

 

Demolitions (200); Storm Sons table

Tracking +10 (400); Storm Sons table

Demolitions +10 [and base] (400); Storm Sons Table

Double Team (200); Tactical marine table

Rapid Reload (200); Tactical marine table

For reference, the Storm Sons upgrades are based on the White Scars with some changes, and I am happy to alter them further based on feedback. Independent targeting is a mistake and likely will need to be swapped for another talent.

Glad you guys like it. Tried to have some of your chars a chance to shine and hope it came up alright.

Was a bit afraid I was going a bit to far into 90's action movies here :p

Still, will have to flatten out a few typos there.

 

 

Nice finish on the Voice of Thunder there, Mol. It's really eerie with the ME soundtrack playing in the back!

Dude you can get Demolitions for 200 XP. :ohmy.:

 

Otherwise, Tracking and Survival sound like Greysight...especially since you follow your nose :wink:

 

But....Demolitions!

Solastion currently has 100xp banked from creation, +500 for now for a total of 600.

 

So, boosting Intelligence with a Simple Advance for 200xp boosting it from 40 -> 45.

 

I do also enjoy that I forgot about:

A character equipped with a diagnostor helmet gains a +10 to all Medicae Tests where he is working directly on a patient.

There is a tab for 'purchase history' - I'm attempting to update as you tell me. Please, if you could, remind me of your initial 1000xp spend as well as the 500xp you've been awarded. You will also need to update your character sheet with your revised stats/new skills and the XP spent/remaining.

 

Vârvost will take +5WS and +5AG for 400, leaving 100 over.

 

Thorvald will take an Intermediate BS advance for 500.

Starting XP:

 500xp - BACKGROUND - No Quarter Given (+3 WS, Counter-attack)

 300xp - BACKGROUND - Battle damage

 200xp - CHARACTERISTIC - Weapon Skill +5

New XP:

 100xp - SKILL - Acrobatics (trained)

 400xp - TALENT - Assassin Strike

I think my tab on the Advances Sheet already lists my purchases, and my Char sheet is UTD, but here is as follows:

 

1000xp Starting Allowance

500 - Mighty Shot

200 - Simple Advance Ballistic Skill (tuts @ Steel, you naughty lad :p) +5 BS

200 - Simple Advance Perception + 5 Per

100 - Pooled with GM approval

 

500xp Accrued from play

500 - Intermediate Advance Ballistic Skill +5 BS (Don't even think it Steel!) :laugh.:

My one thing I would say is that your posts and Tyber's thought process seems to be heavily based around the Legions - he mentions them a lot - that it seems a shame to be losing Common Lore Astartes. 

 

I would offer you this:

 

Toe to Toe is 200XP 

Dodge +10 is 200 (from your Chapter Table) 

Two Weapon Wielder (Melee) is 400 

Common Lore (Astartes) is 400, but I would offer it to you for 200 due to the cautionary tales told to you by your Chapter.
