These models didn't make it into my 2014 ETL vow because I was still trying to find certain bits. A lot of the bits used here come from the Thunderwolf Cavalry box. The two-handed chainsword was an experiment with using the hilt from a Nemesis Force Sword to make an extended grip. These guys are also an experiment in using white primer for my Space Wolves. -

These three models were not part of my 2013 ETL vow because they already had too much paint on them at the start of the competition. This pack was an oppurtunity to use all the crazy heads in the Space Wolves box that I didn't normally use. -

Two of the first Grey Hunters I ever assembled, these warriors come from the pack known as the Claws of the Sunwolf. Fond of plasma weapons, the Claw are among the youngest Grey Hunters in Logan's Great Company. -

My 2014 ETL Vow, The Serpent Hunters are a pack of Grey Hunters from Logan Grimnar's Great Company. They took their name from an incident when they were Blood Claws; the pack stumbled into a nest of strange Xenos Serpents. When several members of the pack succumbed to the venom, the remaining members proceeded to hunt down and gut every last serpent from the nest. The Serpent Hunters were an experiment in the use of bits from the old Tactical marines box (You'll note that none of the Serpent Hunters has legs from the Space Wolves box), as well as a testing ground for some more unusual poses like the use of primed grenades, using the bolt pistol along side the boltgun, and carrying combat knives. They were also my first power armored models to be magnetized. -

Part of my 2013 ETL Vow, The Ancient's Bones took their name when, on one of their hunts, they slew an ancient troll that had taken to keeping the bones of initiates as trophies. The Ancients took the troll's bones as their symbol, although any trophies the pack took from the troll's body itself have long since been broken and discarded. -

4 of the Grey Hunters from my ETL III vow. I was experimenting with the use of direct sunlight for photography. In hindsight, indirect sunlight later in the day would have been better. -
