Hello fellow Space Wolf enthusiasts, For myself and a lot of others the idea for making all the wolf lords represented on the Grand Annulus has been around as long as the grand Annulus. It was a fantasy. A lot of those Wolf Lords only had a couple of sentences dedicated to them. That didn’t stop me wondering what they might look like, what equipment they might have, how their Great Company would fight on the battle field etc. The release of ‘Curse of the Wulfen’ bridged the gap between the far off dream and something achievable. Not only were there two great interpretations of previously unseen (officially) Wolf Lords but there were rules to play as four of the great companies. There was a lot more info in there about the Wolf Lords and Great Companies. Long story short. I’ve been making those Wolf Lords. I’ve seen a few people attempt this. I’d love to know if anyone else has made them all. I’d love to see your guys versions of these Wolf Lords. I’ve made all twelve and have been painting them. I’ve painted ten so far. Would love to know if you think I’ve made them how you imagined or I’m way off or whatever. The new codex is coming. There may be a new Grand Annulus in there. I’ve seen Bulveye (Wolf Lord 13 - I haven’t made him - yet) talk on bolter and chainsword. Is he coming back do we think, is this based on rumours? If there is a new Grand Annulus coming I want to show you my wolf lords before they’re all out of date. Spoiler alert, I know a couple are dead already. Essentially I want to show you my Wolf Lords. I want to see your Wolf Lords. I want to know what’s happening going forwards. I’m very interested in the Wolf Lords and the Great Companies.

Greetings Brothers! So, I have finally given in and started a new company, name and symbol to be confirmed. I am going for a more pre-heresy look and toying with an idea of having the wolves marking on the one shoulder, the company marking on the opposite shoulder and pack markings on a knee (or possibly elbow?) pad. I'm not quite sure how this will work yet. Build wise, I am adding a few extra bits (mostly mags, side arms and some more interesting close combat weaponry) and basing them all as if on a glacier/pack ice rather than the generic snow. Initial idea for a company marking is a simple wolf claw emblem though I'm torn on black, gunmetal or possibly a red gore? On the tester there is a rather messy gunmetal version which i am not overly happy with. I might have a bash at greenstuffing a more 3D version. Alternative ideas are welcome! So here is my first Gray Hunter as a tester. He still needs to be tidied up a bit but you get the idea. I'm also quite happy with the head! As per usual, apologies for the dubious photos.... So, there you go! What are your thoughts? Any feedback or advise welcome. Cheers, Graymane

Hello one and all!I've been in the hobby on and off for 16 something years and thought I'd make a thread for my endeavours in the ol' B&C. The Horus Heresy bandwagon hit me like a brick when it started and I've always had a soft spot for chemical warfare so picking a favourite legion was easy. I've been working on this true scale (Shoutout to Doghouse!) Death Guard army for about a year but never really bothered posting much about it. I'm aiming for about 2500 points and will see how far this leads me after that. There's lots of stuff in the works (tacticals, terminators, heavy support...) but this is all I've bothered taking pictures of at the moment. Less talk and more pics, right. First squad. http://i.imgur.com/rr9160U.jpg?1 http://i.imgur.com/gK1KOeJ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/XxssMSh.jpg Pimped out ride and some sense of scale. The Rhino is based on a 1/35 M113 APC if someone is wondering. http://i.imgur.com/1q8rzZ7.jpg Praetor http://i.imgur.com/IWd88zX.jpg Consul http://i.imgur.com/CHQhxUo.jpg Imperial Space Marine http://i.imgur.com/8SKNLYS.jpg That's about it for now, will post more stuff soon as things progress. I hope you enjoy them and am happy to answer any questions, C&C is always appreciated. Cheers!

Shock assault Search and destroy Pursuit operations Punitive and excoriation campaigns "brutally swift" "a shock-assault force as well as tireless pursuers and a peerless hunter-killer force" "its campaigns unsubtle, but brutally swift" "Conditioned to hold a near-suicidal disregard for danger" "a force that has honed in battle against [..] their own wayward brothers" Aside from what is to come by official ruling, let's talk about the fluffside of tactics. To me the tactics that suit the Space Wolves' style of warfare best are as follows: Seeker-squads Sounds like they are made for the Space Wolves. I wouldn't be surprised if we got our own special unit substitution for seekers. They are the most "search and destroy" units the Crusade Legions army list has to offer. Drop-pods/airborne transportation "Suicidal" dropping into the heat and punishing precisely what has to be gone. Like a Wolf. Caestus, Storm Eagles, Spartans delivering pain exactly where it has to be applied. Fast units Continueing the above .. either by means of transports or wargear like bikes or jump packs our units should be fast straight where their force is to be applied. Anti-MEq This is another thing Space Wolves are about. Following dissidents. So let's bring squads designed to counter marines. By this I mean AP<3 .. Unit size Holding the line or win by attrition ..this is not the way of an execution force. So small veteran squads maybe fit more than large tactical blobs. Or don't they? No artillery As above. Artillery is cumbersome, cannot be deployed swiftly and has its place in attrition based warfare. Also: Furious charge over Stubborn. Those are the basic principles I design my army around. Feel free to object or chime in. What is your vision of heresy-era Space Wolves and their tactics right now?

I tried my hand at updating the detachment rule and stratagems to make something that's a bit easier to activate and simpler to track. Detachment Rule Deeds Worthy of Saga Legendary deeds in the midst of battle are an intoxicating mead. Those who witness them are inspired to greater feats of daring and valour, determined to prove themselves worthy of their champions. When an Oath of Moment target is destroyed, until the beginning of your next Command Phase, weapons equipped by units with the Oath of Moment ability gain the Sustained Hits 1 ability and improve their AP by 1 on a Critical Wound. If the Oath of the Moment target was destroyed by a Character, units with the Oath of Moment ability Critical Hit on a roll of 5+ until the beginning of your next Command Phase. Stratagems Armour of Contempt (1 CP) CHAMPIONS OF RUSS – BATTLE TACTIC STRATAGEM As per C:SM and other detachments Saga of the Beastslayer (1 CP) CHAMPIONS OF RUSS – BATTLE TACTIC STRATAGEM With the scent of blood in the air and the rushing joy of battle surging through every true warrior’s hearts, even the greatest quarry can be brought down. WHEN: Fight phase. TARGET: One ADEPTUS ASTARTES unit from your army that has not been selected to fight this phase. EFFECT: Until the end of the phase, improve the Armour Penetration characteristic of melee weapons equipped by models in your unit by 1. If a MONSTER or VEHICLE unit has been destroyed by your army, until the end of the phase, such weapons have the [LANCE] ability as well. Saga of the Bear (2 CP) CHAMPIONS OF RUSS – EPIC DEED STRATAGEM Lorem ipsum. WHEN: Your opponent’s Shooting phase or the Fight phase, just after an enemy unit has selected its targets. TARGET: One ADEPTUS ASTARTES unit from your army that was selected as the target of one or more of the attacking unit’s attacks. EFFECT: Until the end of the phase, models in your unit have the Feel No Pain 5+ ability. If the unit is Below Half-Strength, models in your unit have the Feel No Pain 4+ ability instead. Saga of the Hunter (1 CP) CHAMPIONS OF RUSS – STRATEGIC PLOY STRATAGEM Having stalked their prey or run them to ground, all that remains is to go for the enemy’s weakest points, to rip them apart in a furious bloodletting. Onlookers are stricken with terror at the bloody spectacle, an instant before the sons of Russ pounce upon them. WHEN: Fight phase TARGET: One ADEPTUS ASTARTES unit from your army that destroyed one or more enemy units this phase. EFFECT: Until the end of the phase, each time a model in your unit makes a Consolidation move, it can move up to 6" instead of up to 3", provided your unit ends that Consolidation move in Unit Coherency and within Engagement Range of one or more enemy units. In addition, if the target unit destroyed the Oath of Moment target as part of being eligible for this stratagem, each enemy unit within 6" of your unit when it ends that Consolidation move must take a Battle-shock test. Saga of the Wolfkin (1 CP) CHAMPIONS OF RUSS – STRATEGIC PLOY STRATAGEM Once their blades and claws run red with the enemy’s blood, nothing will hold the savage sons of Russ back from new prey. WHEN: Your Movement phase, just after an ADEPTUS ASTARTES unit from your army makes a Fall Back or Advance move. TARGET: That ADEPTUS ASTARTES unit. EFFECT: Until the end of the turn, your unit is eligible to shoot even though it Fell Back or Advanced this phase. Your unit is also eligible to declare a charge against the Oath of Moment target. Saga of the Warrior Born (1 CP) CHAMPIONS OF RUSS – EPIC DEED STRATAGEM The greatest champions amongst the sons of Russ must take the fight to the enemy, leading by example to uphold the honour of their Chapter. WHEN: Your Charge phase, just after an eligible ADEPTUS ASTARTES unit from your army is chosen to charge. TARGET: That ADEPTUS ASTARTES unit. EFFECT: Add two to the unit's Charge roll. If the unit is charging the Oath of Moment target, then their equipped melee weapons gain the Sustained Hits 1 ability until your next Command Phase. Saga of Majesty (1 CP) CHAMPIONS OF RUSS – EPIC DEED STRATAGEM Lorem ipsum WHEN: Fight phase TARGET: One ADEPTUS ASTARTES CHARACTER unit from your army that has not been selected to fight this phase. EFFECT: CHARACTER models in the unit gain the Fight First ability and their equipped melee weapons gain the Precision ability until the end of the phase. If attacking an enemy unit within range of an objective marker, you can also re-roll Wound rolls of 1. Enhancements As per the official detachment rules.

A conversion I have been working on, part of my first Grey Hunter pack -
Got a few Joytoy figures now, had the first lot of Infiltrators and then recently the Wolf Claw Pack. And you guys know nothing of mine stays "stock", with that in mind here is my random updates, bit swaps for these guys. I'm not a great sculptor and there is not a great many bits out there I can make moulds from, so it won't be ground breaking. I've started with updating the paint job on some of the belts, shoulder pads, weapons etc. Here I've removed all the wolf tails and doing repairs to the holes. For this guy I will have 1 single wolf tail on his belt and update the gold and re-paint the wold head. All my wolves carry firearms with red casings, so also an update on the paint job and took the wolf tail they randomly add to the knees (why?) filled the hole in it with green stuff and it will be attached to the Bolt Pistol handle. Progress will be slow on this thread as I'm just going to do bits now and again.

I’ve found 2 Primaris bodies in my bitz box and I want to build them into characters for the Space Wolves. I’d like one of them to be a Primaris Wolf Lord or a Battle Leader. Please could someone let me know what the options are for them?

Hi everyone, I'm a bit of a heresy beginner and want to get into space wolves. I have an idea for a veteran pride of the legion list and want to hear if its a decent list or not before I go too far down the rabbit hole. I'm sure I have enough infantry and armour stopping power. I imagine my terminators, veterans and the quad launcher would be good against infantry while the kratos and spartan would be nice against armour. The jetbikes I am thinking would be good for harrasing. I'm not sure how useful the veteran squad is kitted out wiht chain bayonets and serpentas is, besides choom is cool. But I imagine being a space wolf if I understand i can basically move fast and charge so I'm hoping they can shoot when needed and then get into it with serpentas and chain bayonets when possible. Any advice, critiques or comments would be appreciated. + Rite of War: + Rite of War: Pride Of The Legion + HQ: [155Pts] + Praetor, Cataphractii [155Pts]: Howl of Morkai, Warlord .
