im spending all my free tine in a painting frenzy trying to get everything ready, but like here on b&c the talent at the fanatic is at a crazy high level, and i am not sure if i can compete, many also told me that my big disadvantage is that my conversions are too hard to spot, they say it looks too natural, so just plowing on hoping for the best.

i really should be asleep now have to get up in a few hours, but cant seem to stop thinking and planing

I love this, to me this is what the forum represents, feeding of other people's comments, really getting you into the hobby.

Awesome work man. If any one of those plasma weapons gets hot that whole arm is gonna go up like Chernobyl lol.

OSL is sweet. Heinrich's right though, if he fails his Gets Hot his arm should go BOOM.

hehe i know, but love the twin linked plasma guns they can use rerolling those 1s also the 2+ armour helps alot :)

im currently doing highlighting on the black armour plating on forgefiend and hellbrute, but im not syre what kind to do, keep in mind there is no hard edges so its on curved surfaced with trim all around, its ither thin lines nere the trim edge or go for light points on the exposed top part of every bit of armour that was a really bad explanation .. hope you guys can guess what i meant.

im unsure of wich type to go with, so kinda stuck, cant apply osl before thats done

any advice?

so i asked around for advice from friends and what they said was the natural looking highlights would be best so fiddle around tested both and i agree

here is a before and after on my hellbrute, next step and final is osl

I've just read this whole thread from start to finish.

It's absolutely marvellous! :biggrin.:

Those obliterators are especially impressive - they look savage, brutal and unstoppable!

As for adding the glow to the Hellbrute, I'm not sure either. It looks brilliant as it is, but adding the green glow might make it even more menacing, so it's hard to say!

welcome ace and thanks, hope you liked it, the green glow is part of the army paint scheme its the "balefire" that burns them inside and shine thrugh, the problem is were to place it currently i did face wents on back and excausts on the top, and skulls on the lascannon, but think it might be nice to add some runes on the black plate.

Wow Thamier. Where did that come from.

what you mean? the hellbrute? that one is one of the first models in the start of this thread, its old one of my first chaos conversions, im giving it a overhaul along with all the models in my turnament list , will go over the forgefiend drakes and bikes too, and 20 chaos marines i hope only have 11 days left before turnament
