I was just thinking tthe other day how much your army has influenced mine since you began posting here mate.

 

I chopped up alot of chaos marines after seeing your conversions, i've recently moved to a more minimalist colour scheme, and I intend to paint glowing runes on my dudesman! so credit where credit is due i think

hey sorry i know i promiced you all pictures and a update, but didnt have time, but hopefully i might just be able to do it tomorrow, but not sure.

 

its really great to hear tough, hope you are happy with your conversions, my way of painting is rather constickting at times my prefrence is neutral tones, black clothes and spikes, cant go wrong with that.

, would like to see your creations too.

finialy got some pictures, so if photobucket works then i can share my current progress.

its aleays surpises me how much time i spend on preping finding bits, cutting filing sanding, making moulds, then ajusting and plastic card work on some.

 

and theeeeeeeen they need basing and painting!

 

but been trying to get some things done tonshow you all.

and gotten some work in on the defiler torso, it takes forever, sculpting little by litte, gotton some of the chest plates in and working on the cables on the shoulders

the spine will be alot like the one on heldrake

In the drop down menu where you get the 'share' options there is also a size option. I find medium to be the best for forum posts.

Quite an update! The Zombies are great (you did mix in some Mantic parts, didn't you?)! The progress on that Defiler is looking really promising -- it's almost uncanny how much those cables resemble the one on the Forgefiend and Heldrake -- great job!

 

I also love the massive look on the Havocs. The pressmoulded optics on the helmets are a great touch. Are those the Anvil Industries autocannons you used?

 

I only have one nitpick, and it's the same one I outlined earlier: In an army so full of amazing conversions, using stock models for the Warpsmith, Khârn and Huron seems like a missed opportunity ;)

there is mantic zombie parts in there too yes :)

the cables are press moulded / sculpted to make it work.

the autcannons i have no idea got them off ebay a long time ago.

 

and with the special charaters im a little relucktant to convrt / change them too much.

dependw on if i like the moel or not.

 

indonplan on making a epic abbadon later on for excample.

 

warpsmith i willeo my own later on too but like the standard one so have to use it ofc ;)

Ok...those pics are full of win. Love the hair on the Slaanesh helm. And the zombies are excellent.

 

Totally understand about special character models. Some you just have to keep as is. But at the same time, your army has so much originality. Make sure you do something extra after the ETL ;)

as i mentioned there is a TON of stuff ill be doing after so no worrys there. now i just have to finish building then give up sleeping and paint them all

Im really excited for the defiler but probably more excited for the noise marines, they look promising!
