Nice work Heinrich and Flint!! The showcase is up and the work so far is great!! The showcase will be for completed model only, correct?? Are we allowed to post links to our WIP threads or should we keep that stuff in here?? Damn, I am full of question today!! Here's a couple more!!

 

My lord will be riding on a 'bike' and accompanied by a squad of felllow bikers. What kind of load out is going to be good for a fast moving terror tactic squad?? I was thinking 2 specialist weapons, like a Powerfist and a Power Axe... Or should I give him the Brand and a Lightning claw??!! GAH!! I don't know!!

Also, I am thinking of using the Fenrisian Wolves as Chaos spawn in the force, is that going to be too wolfy?? I really want to play up the whole wolf and raven, creatures of the night idea with my force. Thoughts??

I've assembled his 'bike' and got his legs posed as well. His head and hair are finished as well, now its time for arms and gribblies...

After much musing and marvelling at the increasing amount of Night Lord plogs on the B+C, I decided to explore this Legion myself. I've read nothing of them in regard or novels (something I wish to remedy soon) and have no models thus far, so if my submission is...off kilter, then I apologise in advance. Without further ado, I present:

 

VIIIth Legion - 75th Company "Invidos Umbram" The hateful shadow

 

 

"Let me tell you lad. I've never seen anything like it. The Palatine Wolves were an elite Guard regiment, despite their haughty attitude. They knew they were good. Everyone did. But the sole survivor had plain peed and soiled himself, babbling about how the shadows had taken his men, how each and every one died of fear. If I hadn't seen the corpses myself, I'da scoffed and been rightly justified sayin' that the Wolves were naught but sissies after all. Not one shot had been fired. Not one. Claw marks were left on the walls and most of the Guardsmen had been shredded. Now, I seen animals butchered by Ambulls and other alien creatures. Hell, I've seen what's left after a 'Stealer has had its way, but those marks. Never want to see them agin. Never.

I love how everyone is now adding sister (singular) to the end of every "Brothers!" salutation now. Makes me feel appreciated ^_^ 

 

@ Aquilanus - No Nightlord is off kilter! We make everyone else uncomfortable. What with all the flayed faces and whatnot.

 

The 75th stands proud next to their brother companies in Midnight clad.

 

 

@ Rhapsody, the Showcase is for finished models, and backstory/fluff accompanied by finished models. One or two WiP in this thread isn't a huge problem, but we don't want the mods moving or closing it. We want to be able to update the red roster for years to come!

 

Have you got a Work in Progress thread going yet? We've had three or four great ones go live in the last week or so from a ton of talented new Nightlords.

I have to warn you "brother" that Krieg Acerbus is our ally so watch your steps.

Take a look in the mirror brother, we are all on our way to damnation. We wont be here to see Imperium vanish but we will make it suffer every second of their miserable, undeserved existence.
