Thanks for the warm welcome! Glad to hear the BA codex idea so warmly received. And don't worry about the grisly decor Flint, coming come Commorragh this is a picnic lol. I will be working on some list and background things over the next few weeks around the holidays. I am a HUGE fluff hound and always make big backgrounds for my armies, units, and characters. Still unsure how I want to approach my midnight 8th. I love me some librarians but I'm unsure how well that will merge into my unblemished, "pure" style army with a complete abhorrence of the Ruinious Powers. The main theme atm will be a rapid insertion force deployed from orbit. Will post more ideas as they come!

Lovely! I approve of any and all fluff-hounds.

Also, fun story, My Ghost Step Kabal and my Wych Cult of the Arterial Arc are my only 40k army :D

Aren't the opportunities for bits crossovers just the best?

This got kinda snowed under by all the fluff, but the question still stands... :D

I was wondering if any of you have or know of a good painting tutorial for painting pale Nostraman skin.

Please post a link in response. If it's good, perhaps we can post it in the first post as a tut next to my Flayed skin one?

Anyone?

Check out tutorials for painting dark eldar skin...it is the same really when it comes to models. I don't know of any off hand that are better than others but a quick google/YouTube search should get you what you need. The key is usually a colored wash for the pale skin, typically either blue or purple.

Nostramans are normally smart enough to wear a helmet in a warzone, aren't they? :huh.:

Hehe, kidding. (but not really. Don't get shot in the face.)

This one is a little simplistic, but it gives a really good idea of where to get started on that almost vampiric, washed out look.  It's where I got started learning to paint wyches in my Cult of the Arterial Arc.  :D

Oh right... there are also a couple new companies I need to put on there too...

Ugh... I'm getting lazy-assed in my old age. :blink.:

Next thing you know I'll be forgetting uni assignments and skipping workouts.

@B'Raass

I don't know about a guide but I used on my lord. White base > Eldar Flesh drybrush > Light Ink > Caldor Blue for Veins > Watered down Pallid Wych Flesh all over > Very Light dusting of white.

Id probably pick out lips in a very light pale flesh colour too.

Hope that helps.

On the subject of whipping into line...

In the VIII Legion you can always rely on brothers to get rid of dead weight (and those in their way) So you get the idea fast.

Ever done a bio-active facial peel or a 360 bikini wax?

Flaying holds no fear for me.

Deep in the depths of the Dark City of Commoragh, young Wyches-in-training decorate their quarters with posters of Flint, she's their inspiration, their heroine, their rock. :D

Speaking as a kabalite......I suspect more than just Wyches could be included in that assessment.....

Blame it on the mountain of writing I've done on the Deathwatch lately. This loyalist fixation is obviously affecting me more profoundly than I'd care to admit.

To get back in a Midnight frame of mind however Konrad Curze has arrived today and my hobby mojo is bubbling nicely so give me a day or 2 and I shall be back to my evil sadistic self

Hey guys, I'm very behind and just caught up on Eternal Crusade (40k MMO) and was wondering if anyone was thinking of doing a Night Lords Guild open to members of B&C? Murderers Call as a guild name would hit home if of course the Mistress of Darkness allows it.

Also looking for advice from the 8th.

I have bought a Dark Angels Nephilim Fighter/ Dark Talon to convert into a Strike Fighter for my Warband (HH Rules), but I have two lines on thought of what to do with it.

First I was thinking of continuing my Squat slaves allies Heresy and having a Squat pilot in a customer built Strike Fighter to strengthen their place in my Warband. (Currently a Techmarine and retinue and 3 termite themed drop pods).

But im thinking that having equal footing is not the way of the VIII Legion and limiting their role to merely support and having them taking an oath to help us fight the enemy attacking them (the imperium) and end up becoming no more than slaves.

So onto my second idea a Daredevil Night Lord Pilot who would give Doom Rider a run for his money on awesome. A stolen and kitted out Dark Talon named the Hellscream. ( A Nice painting of Red Bat Wings over the wings and maybe some free hand reflecting my own tattoos of Dragons and Scorpions along with the normal legion motifs)

Idea on if I should have down on their luck warband needing the Squats help more than wanting it, or bring the terror and enslave the squats?
